Dominica News online can confirm a shooting incident which took place at the All Nation’s Bar in Newtown in the early hours of this morning.
Alleged eyewitnesses claim at least three shots were fired by an unidentified male while customers queued to purchase eats and drinks at about 1 a.m.
No one was hurt and according to reports at least one bullet hole could be seen on a ledge outside of the building.
One alleged witness said that just moments before the shooting an unidentified man had walked into the bar, approached the proprietor’s son and began complaining whether there was any food left.
An argument reportedly ensued and there was a commotion. The customer then threw a bottle at the bar owner’s son who responded by also throwing a bottle.
It is reported the unidentified man left the bar and moments after shots were heard and everyone “hit the floor”, the witness said.
Reports are that there were about 10 customers inside the bar.
Another witness said the assailant rode off on a bike after the incident. The owner of the establishment reportedly left the bar and drove off in his vehicle sometime after the assailant left.
All Nation’s Bar is said to be owned by Curtis “Shakes” Richards of Newtown.

There where 10 clients at the bar, and some staff behind the bar, thus the police know who to question. The question is what will be done.
Such acts need to be dealt with properly and swiftly, people need to know that such behavior will not be accepted in Dominica.

I actually got upset at him myself . However the gun man as DNO says unidentified is not an un-identified person because he had no mask uptil this day . Think all those in there including myself knew whohe was . Fellas , my D/ca brethren let’s stop the violence , if it’s done for show-off and noticing it doesn’t pay . Does that surprise anyone? Could the “unidentified” person be a vigilante’, family member, busienss associate that has come to avenge the death of “Manison, Papas and Kamala?. Did DNO report that the bar owner rode off after the incident? Was it in the direction of the unidentified shooter or in the other direction? Why would he leave the safety of his house to go after, it would seem, a would be killer? Like a commentator said, the unidentified person was really not interested in hurting any body else who were at the bar. Is that an indication of things to come? Should patrons beware of their personal safety when frequenting the bar? Should I be concerned?

I say find the person who fired the shots, but don’t send him to jail. Charge him 20 thousand and make him pay it monthly over the next five years or so. Every time his payment late, bring him to the court house and give him 20 lashes. Whip him good, then send him back to work. Sending people to jail for things like that is not making them paying for their crime. Hit them in their pockets in more ways than one, and they will grow up fast.
