My fellow Dominicans lack greatly in a little thing called tact. I am a Christian and I know my bible but really people now is not the time to be pointing out he going to hell. It is indeed sad when a soul is lost but this is just not the time to be so harsh. My former student was a bit troublesome and playful but he was always jovial and full of life. I pray for yourchild that God’s hands will cover her always.

Soo sad! My deepest sympathies to his love ones, community and Dominica. May Jejovah God comfort us. May his soul rest in peace. Jesus now more than ever, for we’re sailing in stormy weather, we should all come together, for we need him now more than ever. So many questions but jahjah sees and knows. Let me take this opportunity to win souls for the lord. whoever you are and wherever you are, ask Jesus to save you right now and believe you’re save. Angels and saints rejoices when a soul is saved much less for many. Let’s disappoint the Devil, he comes to steal, kill and destroy, his a king of lies, renounce him now. I thank Jehovah for saving you, welcome to his family. The next step is reading the bible, pray unconditionally. The Holy Spirit will guide you accordingly. Deny men/women and believe Jehovah, he’s the way, truth and light. You will be surprise what he will do. Every one sins even after being save but you’re quicker to repent, it’s a process, you grow stronger daily. Don’t let hypocrites tell deceive you, try him yourself. Even me have thought of suicide but greater is he that is within than he that roams the Earth and I’m save. Once you’re in the flesh these thought will come but the Holy Spirit will cast it off. What we need is the Lord. Seek first the kingdom of Heaven and all will be added to you. I declare Dominica for Jesus, no more murder and suicide.

It looks like a lot of Dominicans don’t read their Bible.. You all misinterpret this “R.I.P” thing.. He cannot rest in peace.. He can only rest in peace in Christ.. He killed himself.. God is against that.. Its a sad situation…………. But Condolences to the Family!

  14. November 15, 2013

Whether we claim to be Christians or no claim at all, the Life that enters our soul from conscience through the mind in its renewing process, happens by sincere faith in the God of Life in Love–His Person is Jesus Christ.

And so, we ought to know that Faith brings Life, Hope is the driver that takes us to the fullness of Life, grounded in Love–Life in the soul is the state of completeness and perfection by which we are able to stand before our Holy God, without fear of destruction.

But the Life that is in us, when Holy Spirit connects us through conscience, is Love–and Love is the state of Light in joy and peace, those two
Spiritual stature is the energy that moves us regardless of our situation of the day–we cannot think of ending this Life in us–no matter how much the enemy will try to influence us to do so.

However, where there is no faith, there is no Hope, and where there is no Hope there is no God, without God there is no Love, hence without Love there is no Life; we are solely under the control of our human senses, which feeds our mind in its carnal condition–the production is to satisfy the flesh–even the destruction of our own physical body.

King Solomon, of the Bible, was an example of experiencing no hope in his old days; even if he was the richess man of his days, all in all, blessed by the God of Love.

But Solomon had turned away his God; that was the time he discovered that there was nothing good under the sun–it was all vanity, vanity of vanities, he said about all his material riches.

Solomon would have given up on Life, just as this young man did; except that he was still blessed with the wisdom and understanding of God’s ways. And so, he tells us at the end of his of book of depression–the Book of Ecclesiastes at Chapter 12: verse 13 and 14:

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s duty, it is his all. For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.

There is nothing that we can say about the death situation of this young man–but for those of you, especially you young people, who continue in existence, let it be known that Life is not served to you on a silver platter; just keep in mind that Jesus wants to be with you always–why don’t you learn to call on Him during your hardship? Jesus is your Light and will show you the way–no human being in this world can take the place of Jesus in your Life–I know what I am talking about.

Anytime you play a suicide just wait to days or so and you will here about someone else doing it and you will see for yourself how stupid and sillt the reason is, but again everyone have a different breaking point.

I still cannot believe in times like these when you can express yourself openly on facebook or other social media and voice your concerns and you will get help from the strangest of strangers.

I believe that suicide stems from the highest hight of insanity a serious irrational act that leaves everyone asking why.

Everytime i hear someone does that and the reasons i get so pissed because its just some minor problem, but yet again everyman thinks his burden is the heaviest.

Did anyone see warning signs? There are always some sort of signs just before these tragic deaths.
We need to be more alert to the needs and frustrations of our friends and loved ones. They try to tell us things through their body language and we sometimes ignore it.

Be alert…the mouth don’t always speak….the body does also.

May his family find solace in God during this unexplained and sad death.

    God bless Dominicans.

  33. November 15, 2013

My condolences go out to friends and family of this young man – sad indeed.

No one in his/her right mind wakes up one morning and decides, “hey, maybe I should kill myself today”. Of course, there were underlying issues that this person hid so well that even a close friend could not discern. The most distressing part is that this person deemed suicide the only option. Obviously, there was no shoulder to lean upon, no ear available to listen, or a hand to hold on to from this young man’s perspective.

We must learn to give time to others, to listen to the hurts that echo from within them. We have become individualists and only show interest in things or people beneficial to us. We no longer know what it is to sacrifice time to listen to the cries of others. We no longer have time to look out for our own or our neighbors. We are quick to jump to conclusions about others instead of listening to them. We are just too busy competing against each other in an attempt to be better, have better and do better. We have become a selfish people and have dishonored the declaration “all for each and each for all”.

Whilst nothing can be done to help this young man at this stage, we can all learn from this situation. There are many others like him, perhaps within your family circle. This is the time to start making communication a priority among yourselves as well as showing more interest in the wellbeing of each other; thus, providing a portal for deep personal conversation / counseling. You’d be surprised how fast humans open up to one who demonstrates sincere love and care.

    Blessings to you my people.

I read where a few commented on “Some people will judge you.” These commentators are the first set of judges. Are they implying that there are reasons why they think this guy “Joseph” will be “judge by others? “Some people will/may/might judge you.” Suicide is not the answer for whatever one is going through. A life is precious. It’s a gift from God which should never be taken lightly. Suicide is just another word for murder.

I’m sorry but that is absurd… Why would you kill YOURSELF to hurt a family member. You can’t do that if you’re dead, and if you want to hurt a family member most likely it’s because they don’t like you, so they won’t miss you.

Most people who commit suicide are in such turmoil that they don’t even think to leave a note explaining why they did it. They do not talk about their feelings. How do you get even by committing suicide? What could you possibly be getting even with? They are consumed with their own feelings of despair and can see no other way out. Your research claims are false.

RIP. A sad day for the family and community of Bioche and Dublanc. Saw this young man on my numerous visits to Bioche. This is a hard blow. My thoughts go out to his daughter. Remember it takes a whole village to raise a child may she have that security from the community. Bless

Your “thoughts” is what you mean.. Every single time something happens it is political, the country too hard… This that and the other. For once forget about all that. A young boy took his life. It’s a very unfortunate and sad situation. No matter how difficult times get, God is always there. We tend to forget. And when we think things are bad for us. There is someone going thru something worse. As cliche as it might sound it is the truth. I pray that God gives the family strength to go thru this trying times.

        November 16, 2013

Ofcourse the country being hrd could cause one to commit suicide! You think it easy when you have bills to pay, children to maintain, food to buy, no jobs, nobody to turn to for help? Although I have a lil means of surviving, when things are really rough in this place I’d say to myself if I was dead I wouldn’t have to go thru all of this. So is not everybody that can deal wit the pressures of the economy especially that tough DOMINICA. I’m not political its just reality. Whatever caused u to take your life may ur soul rest in peace young man.

Let’s talk to the family and then you will begin to discover that there were signs along the way that something like this was a possibility. Social and emotional awareness is critical to enable us to make early detection of the wrenching problems persons may be going through. I empathize with the family. They need our love and attention.

Yes. The bible did say that. But still, with complexities of the human mind and the probability of a last-minute repentance, we can’t know for sure what the eternal fate of the young man is. If this act was done completely of his own willingness, and he was fully aware of the consequences, and no form of repentance was involved then what the bible dictates is what will be. However, as humans we mostly judge subjectively and so we can never actually say with certainty what the fate of a person is. Thus, who are we to judge??

What type of person are you to make such a statement? Do you realize that you committed a grievous sin?
You are not God. You have no right making such a statement. Little do you know about God. You cannot read the mind of God, speak and decide for him who is the Judge. God will weigh out his earthly life’s situation and will decide where his soul will be. It is not for you to speculate and judge.

There isn’t much reason for us to do A LOT of the things we do. But we do it anyway right? Didn’t the same bible say all sins are equal in GOD’S eyes and NONE ARE EXEMPT from FORGIVENESS? It’s easy for you to condemn his actions because you wish to air out your already vacant cerebrum. In addition to this when things happen to you, you opine ‘let he without sin cast the first stone’ ‘God forgives me so who are you to judge me’ ‘ only God can judge me’ I guess the same doesn’t apply to the departed…your hypocrisy and double standards are tantamount to rubbish & exposes your sub-normal maturity! Leave judgement to HE who is in a position to JUDGE!( just in case you’re wondering…it ISN’T YOU!)
