A Tarish Pit man has been charged with stealing over EC$7,000 worth of goods from Greens Wholesale Limited.
Akim Jno Jules pleaded not guilty to theft, malicious damage and procuring before Magistrate Ossie Lewis when he appeared in Court on Friday.
According to the charges, Jno Jules and two other juveniles broke into the Greens Wholesale building and took several items, including several cartons of Red Cap Rum, Carnation milk, Gordon’s Dry Gin, Heineken, mackerel, canned tuna, 12 cartons of crest cheese and a bag of lentils.
The total cost of the items was $7,992.96.
Jno Jules is also accused of causing malicious damage to a door at Greens Wholesale Limited costing $1,080 and a door latch costing $150.
He pleaded not guilty to all charges and a trial has been set for March 7 where he will join the other juveniles charged for the same offenses.
The others did not appear with Jno Jules.
He is on remand at the moment, having failed to provide a suitable surety to allow him to be bailed.
The incident occurred on November 3, 2011.

Every day is independence day for these fellows. “Help yourself” is their motto.
out of a hundred youth in that community 99.9% are terrible…smoking drug,drop out of school,lazy to go and look for work and rude….the government or welfare should looking into cleaning up that community put activities in place to keep them occupied….lord help this community TARISH PIT.
