Quite honestly, I am appalled by the increasing crime in this country. It may be true that many are hungry, but on the other hand many are greedy too. These people were not hungry. They were employed for heaven’s sake.

I think that there needs to be a thrust to encourage young people to become entrepreneurs in the country. Then they will be meaningfully occupied, hence having less opportunities for these forms of mischief. We have heard it before that idle hands/minds are the devil’s workshop and it is showing in our country.
We can sit by and blame the government. They have their part to play but they alone cannot employ every citizen. When schools have their career day/week they need need to focus on self development, self-employment and creating employment. Rather than careers that depend on government employment.

stealing should not justify hard times. Life is hard all around the world not only DA. Stop making excuses for these bastards. I hope they rote in jail

They were trusted employees. Who did they plan to sell those cylinders to? Is it worth it losing your job for stealing. In especially a small place, all employers will know about them. How will they get a job in Dominica? Then some will complain there are no jobs for them. What will they do in DA after they probably are imprisoned and serve time? Will there be a second chance for them? People must think before they act.

Cant imagine I would live long enough to read and listen to so much “BS” which have me smfh at the length at which some of our Dominican people reasoned and make excuses for those malcontent who go about committing crimes and destroying the life of other Law abiding citizens. MY messages to those who think its alright bare in mind,” HARD LIFE IS NO EXCUSE FOR BAD BEHAVIOUR” LOVE,LEARN,& GROW”.

You call yourself ‘justice’, instigating and encouraging stealing? It is not justice to also disobey the Law of the land and most importantly of God, under no condition, “Thou shalt not steal.”

When one has a job, he is expecting to eat, just to hang his hat where his hand cant reach, he is going to steal.I know that , that company will not employ him again after the case has been dealt with, so what is he going to do now, when he do not have a job? Things a surely going to get harder for them
