The police say they have in custody three men who are assisting them in their investigation of a shooting incident at Krazy Kokonut on Sunday morning that left one man dead.
The incident occurred around 4:00 am.
The dead man has been identified as Wayne Maxwell, also known as Harderzz.
Two other men are now in hospital in stable condition suffering injuries stemming from the incident.
The police have not released the names of those arrested.
DNO was reliably informed one of the men was arrested at the office of a local attorney – lawyer David Bruney confirmed on local radio that a suspect who had sought legal representation from him was detained at his office.
Eyewitnesses told Dominica News Online that the incident occurred when two men started fighting. One of the men got stabbed.
They said the brother of the man who got stabbed went for a gun and shot the other man who reportedly died on the spot.
Krazy Kokonuts is owned by business man Frankie “Krazy T” Bellot.
It houses the Mapau Entertainment Center, a nightclub and other facilities.
Bellot has promised to tighten security at his entertainment spot to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

No one have the right to take anyone’s life regardless of how evil, reckless or stupid that person is. We have to respect the lives of all from one human being to the next.
With that being said, there’s enough blame to go around…we need to focus on what can be done to prevent these senseless crimes.
1.Place of entertainment business should have heavy secuirty…if u have to hire policemen so be it becuase their priority should be ensuring the lives of those at the facility, at the moment is safe
2.The government should build or extend the jail so that when fools and animals like these go out in the midst of other human beings they will think twice before packing a cutlass in their pants or a gun. These sick people deserve to be behind bars…I can guarantee you that if the government and the justice system work together to ensure these crimes do not go away unpunish and there are robust consequences for these animals and fools action they will think twice.
As a human being no one have the right to lift their hands on another much less to stab, shoot or chop.
People of Dominica this is a matter that u all should voice your opinion on and demand something be done about it.
Something need to be done about the seneseless crimes and all these young pitiful souls on drugs roaming the country.

There is footage of most of the incident. The Wayne guy who has been murdered in cold blood did not have a weapon, he was attacked first and took the cutlass away from the guy who attacked him and stabbed in self defence. There is surveillance footage of some of the incident. its shocking to say the least. Also, there were so many witnesses. As for Krazy Bellot saying security is not the issue is a joke, how can you have a club and guys with cutlass and shotgun get into the club is a HUGE JOKE!! That appears to be zero security.
