it is good to suggest cheques but i believe the labourers prefer to be given the cash since they prefer not to go to the bank, maybe it’s to late by the time they get paid on a Friday or maybe the pay is so small that it’s wasting a cheque. that method of payment is not outdated. it’s still being used in many countries don’t be fooled.

So much ROBBERY is and has taken place in that little Dominica, both by the small little man and the “mighty and great.” Are there anything left on the Island?

They demanded the money. It appears to me that they did not get the money but took the cell phones instead. How far did they expect to go with the cell phones and for how long did they expect to use them without being detected?
Obviously the owners would telephone the company to report the stolen cell phones. The company in turn, if it is swift enough will cancel them immediately.

I am so glad they are caught. These pathetic fools need to stop their criminal activities in our community. a community watch group is needed to help weed those thugs from the village. Thank God no one got hurt, it could have been worst. Please keep them in jail, no bail untill they return all the money they stole, we do not need them walking the streets.

You must pray to God and get others to pray that crimes and that type of crimes be eradicated from your village and also from Dominica that criminals repent and turn to God and worship him. The only help for the world is Jesus, the Healer of all our ills.

You are not serious. I think you are joking and being sarcastic. Considering they were masked, used a gun and cutlass and stole the cell phones including that of the lady, they should remain in custody. They are dangerous criminals who should not be granted bailed. The government should have a special detention house for them until their cases are heard.

guess someone recognize their voice???? someone snitched on them…anyways glad they got caught…hope that will deter those criminals or they may be saying they need to do more planning to not get caught……..there will always be thieves but more needs to be done to prevent at risk kids from becoming delinquents and grow into adult criminals

These guys should be put away for good because had anything gone wrong during that robbery we would be investigating both a double homicide and robbery. These are the kinds of acts that hinder a country’s development. Deal with these animals harshly.

It is a serious matter enough to keep them incarcerated. They should not be out in the public domain.
They commit crimes and believe that they will not be granted bail. This is why they will keep on committing crimes because they are free to roam the roads/streets of Dominica happily. This is no punishment for them even while they are waiting for their cases to be called.
What is preventing them from committing crimes even though a restriction is placed on them to report to the police? It is not even a night curfew.
