UK teen detained for public protection after raping 77-year-old woman

United Kingdom – A 14-year-old boy was today ordered to be detained for public protection for raping a pensioner in a “cruel and revolting” attack.

The teenager raped the 77-year-old woman in Banbury, Oxfordshire, on 12 November after asking to be let into her house to talk about the war, Oxford Crown Court heard.

The boy, who cannot be named, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to one count of rape.

So many comments asking what does this have to do with Dominica? I take it these people asking that question only ever read what happens in Dominica and no where else? Come on people, it’s good to know what happens in the rest of the world. As a matter of fact, I don’t think there’s enough international news on this website. It’s a news website, am I right? Therefore no need for only news from Dominica. There are people out there who actually want to know what goes on outside of Dominica.

This is disgusting. For God’s sake! The lady could be his grandmother or great grandmother! He has no respect whatsoever for the elderly. What type of teenager is he and how was he nurtured? Who are his parent(s)?
What is wrong with some teenagers of today? This child already possesses a wicked heart, spurred on by Satan the destroyer of souls.
Another typical example, “Spare the rod, spoil the child” and a disobedient and stubborn one who obviously may not have been introduced to Our Lord Jesus Christ and do not go to Church. The latter, just speculating. However, there may be some truth in that.
Those schools, specifically overseas as in Great Britain, other parts of Europe, U.S. and Canada no longer pray the Lord’s Prayer. I always say, take God out of the country, homes, schools and the heart of children this is what they end up with and where they may end up.
God will turn his back on them. Those governments and parents will pay a dear price. It results in total – overall – lack of love, unhappiness, lack of peace, criminals and increased criminality, some of which will lead to suicide cases. Put on your thinking cap and take a look around you wherever you may reside.
It is said that “God does not talk to his enemies.”
How stupid can some people be? Their immortal souls are also at stake for all eternity and they are ignorant of that fact.
For his sake and his future, I hope that this child is not beyond rehabilitation. May God assist him.

This boy looks like he need some good old fashioned Dominican descipline. They can send him to my old grandma and I guarantee you after the first session of brought-up-sy and a couple quick back-hand combined with a couple volay with mahaut-pee-mah whip he would have been proper. He would even be answering YES SIR to the family dog when it barks.

Why do you want to correct a boy in England when there are hundreds to be corrected locally?

It is a statement and the person’s view which I endorse. Why are you taking this on? You comment as you wish. Allow others the right to comment as they so wish.
Do you know where the person resides? Even then, this teenager is in dire need of discipline. He sounds like he is a truant child. I hope the Court will assist him.
My point of view is he deserves a good beating. If he were residing in the Middle East this is what he would get and worst yet.

Those who lack common sense will never get it. Are you not aware that the Media (worldwide) also reports international news? Are you devoid of basic common sense and knowledge? It is our world and we want to know as much as possible what is occurring in othher parts of the world. There are people who could learn from it.

The British law is against discipline, parents are nt allowed to discipline their kid.

      January 23, 2012

      @DA/nurse/UK

I realize that it is a government law. Many of those politicians and who hold government portfolio cannot also discipline their children. Shame on them. Yet, they set rules that others will follow.
Eventually they pay the price when their children end up in problems, in prison and are murdered. Too late for regret. Worst yet, when they die they will have to give God an account of their stupid and immoral laws which did not mortally and spiritually benefit the people. Woe to them.

This is a really sad case. My heart goes out to the lady and her family. This boy needs a lot of psychiatric treatment to get to the root of his problem. Sounds like he was a victim of sexual and other abuse himself, and so the pattern continues. At some time the cycle must be broken, otherwise his children will also do the same thing.

you want to get your facts right you dont know the truth the news and the papers are talking crap it was not proven in a court of law that the mother was involved with sex offeners and the boy was not abused himself he was in a boarding school for kids with sexal problems and was only home with his mother 6months prior to the offence so why dont you small minded ppl get the facts right before you make judgement

What a horible story! I feel sorry for the 77 y.o woman and what she had to endure. I also feel sorry for this 14 y.o boy. With a father as convicted sex offender and an absent mother who continued to have relationships with 3 more convicted sex offenders what was to be expected? This boy was clearly abused as his behavior manifests. His life was bound to me marred with this types of behaviors. If he doesn’t get help he will continue to do so again and again. What a sick society man has created!

Reports about him said he “is and remains an immature and damaged child”.

He mature enough to know how to rape though.

Talking about damaged, I would have damaged him physically (castrate) for the rest of his perverted life.

@ tiny. do you think that his parents tell him to go and rap the 77 year old woman? his parents cant be held responsible for his criminal act. we make children but we can’t make their mind. even if we take the effort grow our children the best that we can and in the future they decide to live their own ways, we can’t stop them. we can advice them! so think before posting such negative comments

He is old enough to know he should respect the elderly. My heart seriously broke, this lady could have gotton a heart-attack. Sick boi….stupes

      • Justice and Truth
        January 23, 2012

        @ Channel 1

I have concluded that Tiny may have been an oppressed child or that he/she was disobedient. If Tiny is an adult, he/she is in dire need of help. The bitterness comes through in his/her writing.
Tiny, pray to God to assist you. You should not go through life with this attitude. All of us had parents and they were strict, some more so than others. It did not affect us. We are adults and as adults we love our parents and respect them.
I, personally, state, if it were not for my disciplined and strict parents, as an adult, what would happen to me today and who would I have become? I thank God for them.
Tiny, it is said that many people (worldwide) are unhappy in whatever manner. I pray that God will help you. I wish you well. God bless you!

    • Sorry
      January 20, 2012

@ Tiny. I have noted a number of your comments bashing parents. It tells me that some way you were affected by negative parenting…i mean really affected. I think you need to seek professional help. I am not being sarcastic or judgmental but reading through your comments about parenting I can tell that you are very hurt. Please seek some help. If you continue with this hurt it could affect you much more than you think.

      • Justice and Truth
        January 23, 2012

        @ Sorry

Tiny is, indeed. If only we knew who Tiny is. Tiny may be harboring some hurt that he/she cannot divulge. Let us have empathy for Tiny.
Tiny is not the only one in the world who has suffered some sort of dilemma in childhood to adulthood. People’s disappointments can follow them which they may never get over.
Life is not a bed of roses and every one has gone through the valleys and will continue to do so as long as life lasts.
It hurts my heart when people are unhappy and continue to be and do not know how to get over it. This reflects in Tiny’s writing.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “In this world you will have trouble. Take heart I have conquered the world. Let not your heart be troubled…”
Tiny needs to take the hurt and/or pain to Our Lord in worship and prayer.
God is merciful. He knows who Tiny is and what Tiny went through as a child to adulthood. Let us do our utmost to be merciful to Tiny and pray to God to assist Tiny.
Tiny, God loves you! Our heart goes out to you. We love you and want what is best for you.

I am not one to blame all parents but after reading the ENTIRE article, his parents have played a significant role how he is today especially as regarding his state of mind. It’s sad but with that kind of environment its not at all surprising what his actions were. I feel sorry for the kid and the victim as well

    • Justice and Truth
      January 23, 2012

      @ tiny

Why do you make such a statement? You do not know. You must utilize your good judgment if you possess it. There are some children that are extremely disobedient. They will not listen to their parents. Some of them refuse to go to school. They associate with bad company and also end up living on the streets. It is a sad situation. They need help but will not accept it.
