After a solid week of lying in ice, the bodies of last week’s murder victims have been autopsied and are ready to be handed over to the grieving families for burial.
Police spokesman Claude Weekes confirmed that the postmortem examinations have been completed.
On Monday jurors were impaneled, paving the way for a coroner’s inquest. This is a mandatory step in any suspicious death investigation handled by the authorities, and as such no autopsy can take place without one.
The bodies in question are those of Omara Small, formerly known as ‘Mwanga Freeman’, who was gunned down at about 9:30 pm last week Wednesday. The others are 5-year-old Rachel Vigilant and her baby sister 2-month-old Sophia, who were killed Thursday morning – a few hours after Mwanga’s execution.
So far there have been no charges in either cases.
The mother of the dead children, who was apprehended in connection with their gruesome deaths, has still not been formally charged.
She is being treated for depression at a local mental institution.
no remoarse for the mother, she distoyed 2 lifes now and many in the futher.
mental illness is a disease, but if this was a man he would of been charged and ready to go to the lock up for life.
punishment must be served without any bull.. from the media or church.

I believe in post partum depression and post partum psychosis. There is such a medical ailment.
What gets to me is how easy it is for the authorities and general public to decide that its because of this that she brutally murdered her two children without fully looking at the whole picture.
If you are not in “your right mind” to be able to commit murder then all who comes before the court on murder charges should be sent to the psych ward because they were not in their right mind also.
In my opinion this young lady could get away with a brutal crime easily judging from the general public sympathetic nature and the inablity of the authorities to handle such a tragedy.
And what makes my skin crawl, is how easy it is to see her sitting in the psych ward laughing inwardly at those of us who are gullible enough to accept it.
I wonder if this crime was premeditated, she knowin that we would assume its post partum depression, and get off easy, playing on our sympathy.
Maybe this young woman is much smarter than we really think.
Not to justify what the mother did, but there is such a thing as post partum depression.

Please why dont you try to have some empathy and stop being judgemental. No one knows what pain that young girl endured. No one knows her torture. She is not a common criminal. No mother in their right sense murder their children. Something went wrong. something indeed went wrong.
It is so hard just looking at these two angels pics, let alone, to see them lying lifeless in a coffin. I personally would not want to be there – although i do not know them. That is going to be very, very tough for their families. My heart bleeds so much that I just wish I could breathe life into them again.

they should put an emergency psychiatric ward at the stalk farm prison just for that girl!!! Tears come to my eyes every time i imagine her taking the lives of those two babies and I just cannot feel sorry for her. Insane or not she should be charged!!!
We dominicans are so IGNORANT. Do u honestly think that someone in their right mind could murder two kids, muchless their own?? Come on, have a lil heart. I do not knw the young lady who did this but I feel for her. She had to have snapped in order to commit such a horrible crime. Instead we try and figure out what went wrong, we quickly judge her. I personally do not think she should go to jail. I think she needs professional help because she was and probably still is not in the right frame of mind.
