The body of a man which discovered in the heights of St. Joseph, in the Carholm farming area, has been identified as Chris Blanc who went missing on December 30, 2016.
The police said they have commenced an investigation into a suspected homicide in the matter.
Police PRO Pellam Jno Baptiste said on January 5, 2017 the lifeless and partly decomposed body of an adult male was discovered in a small precipice in the heights of St. Joseph.
“The body was identified as the missing 30-year-old Chris Blanc,” he said.

Anyone with information that can assist the police should call the Criminal Investigation Department at 266-5164, 266-5165 and 266-5119 or Crime Stoppers Dominica at 1-800-8477.
Heaps of coals will be upon their heads.
How is it that persons names are mentioned even before they are brought to court for the matter
Either Dominica is really slow or dno full of crap. I would like to know, why is my comment still waiting moderation ?… Two comment came after mine
who are the constantinople People, google them see what you find, who authorized and knighted our P M and ask him to call election, Did Not the local news say they are connected to the Vatican, then we should know who is in charge of this beautiful nation, its just the price we are paying for what we have.
Stop waiting for GOD to help all you………Start respecting each other……..simple.
To much evil in the country and it starts at the top. The county needs prayers.
Condolences to family and friends.
Follow the trail you will find the criminals who did this.
Just so sad
If this trend of missing people, dead and decomposing bodies being found in shallow graves or in open areas, suspicious suicides, etc, is not addressed by Government, the Churches and relevant NGOs, then by June 2017, Dominicans most likely will be living under a state of emergency.
The Dread Act will then look pretty.
Dominica is doomed . The devil has to get paid and so this will continue. Remember the catholic religious order led by a certain “Sousay Sel” who rolled into Dca just before the last general election and knighted a certain person. Well, payment is due and we will all pay. Plus , law enforcement can’t do their jobs because of meddling politicians and corrupt officers so criminals have become brazen. The police command has lost its way. I have laid out the two evils that need immediate attention so let’s go to work . Fire the DLP cabal and police command and get the population to pray and fast for 30 days and night. We need to cleanse the land asap.
Always Assertive!
Sign of the times. This will make me sound old, but back in the day those things did not happen so frequently. A lot has changed since I left home some 30+ years ago. I can only recall 2 murder incidents as a young man in St. Joseph.
You mean people have become so curel those day that they have guys to cut someone heads off their body but all i no the police may not find you but god saw u and he will find u and to the young folks out there if there is something wrong you guys a doing stop it because as you can see you cannot trust anyone but yourself do the right things i no times a tough but where there is a way there will be a will
What is going on in DA these days or years, I’ve never known or heard such crimes in Dominica before, if some one get kill it would be like an accident but it looks like the young generation or people want to bring the bad life style of other nations into DA and that’s not what DA is about. The government should take these problems more seriously the country can change but change for the better not for all these bad news that that we are reading or hearing about. God help Dominicans my home island I pray that these bad news will stop, crime is not what we want we to be able to live in the this beautiful nation with peace and harmony.
Ppl don’t want to bring their lifestyle to Dominica, it’s already there. And the sad thing about it is that our own locals young, middle and old have adapted these lifestyle and pole always jump on the government and u do understand why they do but we also need to realize that no matter what the government does every man has a mind of their own. The government cannot help everybody ppl have to change their lifestyle, their friends, their environment and most of all their mentality b4 alot of things happen. I live abroad but Dominica is my second home bcse one of my parents is from that beautiful island that I love so much and where I’m from., crime is a broads rampant abroad ss well. So we have nowhere to run o ther than to pray for our nation. May we find love in our heart again for one another. Luv u DA
What a handsome young man! May you rest comfortly . if you died by the gands of a murderer God don’t sleep he sees everything
dont dominica give a count of how many men died in 2016 and how many was there in 2015 it look like all men in dominica a dying or missing never to be found
RIP son alas sa pou fere
Oh come on now, I have been monitoring those disappearances and findings of bodies for over one year now. If this does not seem like there is some sort of nefarious force at work, then nothing else will. I am appealing to the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force – CID and the Catholic Church to form a task force to address the matter. If this is not handled soon, 2017 will be a repeat of and maybe worse than 2016.
interesting observation
Ananasi, why only the catholic church bro? You think the other religions do not have their magic also/
Why the catholic church? Why not ‘churches’ in general?
Some people will not believe what you suggest . The entire country needs some form of spiritual purging.
Thats the job of law enforcement… have you checked the body count of the catholic church? common now…
Sad. Very sad indeed. Condolences to the family and friends.
Oh my oh my.
God I pray that some of the monies from the sale of passports can go into equipping our police force with the tools and other resources required to assist them in solving these crimes.
None of us is immune to crime.
Lord help those who are charged with managing our country to make the best decisions, do things right with the sole objective of developing our people and our country.
Condolences to the family and friends… 2017 just start and you done hearing about missing cases and murders… sad…
i pray that he knew Jesus as his Lord and savior before he passed…
and i pray that people will start to think of where they will spend eternity and make the right decision before their time is up… ‘it is appointed unto men to die one but after that comes judgment’… you will be judged for your deeds done on earth
First person that should be a suspect is the friend dat say he didn’t see wat clothes he had on.
The devil has take over our once beloved Dominica, and unless the leader speaks out and condemn these acts it will continue, people go back to a god loving nation and not a nation of greed like the leaders of this country are,our passports are being sold to criminals, all over the terrorist country, but in due time it will come to and end,Skerrit the US is watching you closely,General KELLY will be taking charge shortly and you will stop the selling of our passports.
Ridiculous. The deportees have taken over our land.
Oh my! This is sad. For a small country with fewer people, Dominica is worst than a bigger country.
I am wondering if it is not the man from Fond Cole who disappeared.
Police, perform a thorough and complete investigation to find the perpetrator of this heinous crime and the reason for it.
To the person who committed this atrocity to a fellow person, know that God knows who you are. You are blacklisted for this crime. You will not escape God’s just judgment and recompense. You better commence shedding tears of eternal sorrow.
What is going on ?!
What’s really happening in Dominica? Headless bodies, young woman hacked to death, disappearances, and entire communities on fire while the government is busy blaming everyone but itself for the poor governance of the country. God Help Us.
You all better have some respect and do not share those pictures. Or I’ll sue
