Woodfordhill woman on theft, forgery charges

Hazel Thomas

A First Domestic Insurance Company (FDIC) employee has been slapped with charges of theft and forgery at the the company.

Hazel Thomas, of Woodfordhill, appeared in a Roseau court on Thursday and was granted bail in the sum of $25,000.

The alleged theft occurred between July 26, 2012 and August 20, 2012, according to court reports.

It is reported that she forged three National Development Bank (NBD) cheques of $12,000 on July 27, $15,000 on August 2 and $18,000 on August 20.

The cheques were reportedly made payable to Darwin Abraham.

As condition of bail, Thomas, who is represented by attorney Gildon Richards, is required to report to the Wesley police station once a week.

Meanwhile, Darwin Abraham has been charged with uttering forged NBD cheques.  Court reports indicate he uttered one cheque in the sum of $12,000 on July 26th, 2012, one in the sum of $15,000 on August 2, 2012 and another of $18,000 on August 20th.

The final cheque was stopped by the bank and was not cashed.

Bail was open to the defendant with a proper surety.

Both Thomas and Abraham are set to reappear in court on February 21, 2013.

call me cold but i dont have much sympathy for this young lady. Some say that she made a mistake, but come on; within that short space of time she forged not one, not two, but three cheques. 12, 15 and 18 grand. Awa we,to me this is GREED. A mistake happens once, twice is a habit. she got away with the first cheque, she did another one. she got away with the second cheque, she did another one. Had she gotten away with the third cheque she would have gone and forged more. DAMN GREEDY. she should get the full blunt of the law.

People when something bad happens to someone try putting yourself in that persons shoes for just one second before you start with the comments. The bible say judge not that you not be judge. Our God is a forgiving God . Ms. Thomas you made a mistake ask God to forgive you, and don’t worry what the rest of us think of you. Let the law do its part ,but in the meantime pray and put you trust in Jesus he will see you through. We have all at one point or another have done something that was not right it’s just no one found out ,but God knows what we did.

It’s really a crying shame when seemingly upstanding members of society fall prey to these sorts of crimes. But, it’s also a glaring example of the fact that people are not getting paid enough and cannot meet their regular cost of living. I think acts like these should prompt the government to review wages, especially in the public sector. With that said though, I know for a fact that FDIC pays its staff a stellar salary at the end of the month….so in this young lady’s case it may just have been she was tired of having just enough and not having extra……….just my two cents

We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through.

Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love… and then we return home.” – Australian Aboriginal Proverb

I have reached a point where i realize all this money, money thing gets us nowhere!!!! The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life.

Lord i was once in a plot like this, but i just want to thank you for your deliverance, the Devil is on a while goose chase looking for souls to devour. If we are not in a close relationship with God, it is easy for the devil to lead us astray.

People seek God, and it is not only stealing that is a sin, apparently in this part of the world it is stealing, murder and this kinds of crime that brings us in the spotlight!!! Adultery is a sin,Fornication is a sin,Lieing is a sin and all the rest of it. In our society we are not charged for it but all sin is sin so why crucify the young lady? When all you girls taking people husbands and all the rest of if?

Who knows maybe in the year 5000…people will be locked up for such things..because it is just as bad! 8-O

    • August 26, 2012

      @Ann

I say Amen to part of your sentiment, above!

Most people do not understand that Holy Spirit speaks the same wisdom and understanding through us, but with the vocabulary that the certain environment can comprehend–just as your Australian aboriginal proverb has done above.

Those few words, simply describe the theme of the whole message in the Holy Bible–which is the call to repentance–meaning change of heart–that we might become reconciled to our Holy God.

Yes indeed! God wants to teach us His Ways–the traits of Love–that we might “freely” return home to Him, with knowing the etiquette of Life in Love, for God is Love, in Spirit, Truth and Holiness.

You probably meant to say that “the devil is on a wild goose chase” but according to this saying, it means that we will never find the thing we are looking for, that is the reason it is a “wild goose chase”.

However, the devil has no trouble finding what he is looking for, since we, human beings, are standing in long lines waiting for him, as we choose the food he is feeding to us, through our human senses. Those foods may seem easier to swallow, except that the devil knows he is feeding us with the deadliest of poisons which eventually destroys our lives–spiritually and physically.

Try to remember that the crucifixion of Jesus, was because He had taken upon Himself the sins of the world–He had no sin of His own to die for–Jesus was a Perfect Man in Body, attitude and conduct, because He lived with the Mind of Love. And Love is perfect, because it is Spirit–the Primary nature of God Almighty, Eternal Spirit.

And so though we are called to love each other, we are not called to love the bad things they do, but we must hate them, as we notice those bad things among ourselves.

The reason God exposes some people who sin, is because of His Love for those people, He wants those people to change through correction–that He will not have to serve His wrath against them.

Be certain, that this lady will change, because of the correction she will go through, by the Will of God, through those whom He will use to correct her–regardless of their own habits.

Those people who remain in hiding are they whom God has turned His back on them, until the Day of Great Judgment. Each and every one of us must be accountable for our lifestyle throughout our days in this world. We will be rewarded accordingly.

And by the way, we are certainly living in the last hours of the return of Jesus Christ; this is the generation in existence today, it is had to believe that this generation will exist for 3000 more years.

The signs that Jesus spoke about, nearing His return is too evident right now–for us to think of year 5000. Whoooooooooooooooooooooosh!

      • August 29, 2012

I agreed with your His words remember to He is a God of love and forgiveness.Yes he will chastise her but God will not just expose you right away. He warns us times and times before and when we will not heed to His corrections then exposes not us but the actions to make us a better person. The Holy Spirit is a Gentleman and does everything in order… Remember time is of the essence and His greater commandment is that we Love one and another so as night is approaching let us continue to interceed for our country. ONE LOVE

i just want to ask , who in this world does not have sin ? some of us believe that is only , stealing, murder , adultery, fornication that are sins. look at ourselves first. seeing a hungry person and not feeding them , bark-biting your friends and neighbors etc ,what are they ? we all quote from the bible when it suits us .
Now , i am not saying what and if she did steal that money ,that it was the right thing to do , but we always say that there are two sides to every story and that everyone deserves a second chance in life and god is the ultimate judge. sometimes we all get caught up in the day to day stuff and forget what is important to us , and we need a wake up call , well i guess she got hers . so why not let her have that second chance . Everyone has a right to their opinion , and from reading these comments it looks like some of the bloggers do want people to express their opinions , because they are calling people names etc.
i have worked at this company for a number of years and i tell you if i were in the CEO position i would fire the heads in accounts department , including the auditors , the head and second in command at the claims department . there are a lot covering up there for who they want too , and the rest they through under the bus. An i read a blogger said that she earned a fair pay , well that is so far form the truth ,not at that company . i am not saying that she should have stolen from them , but we all do like she is the worst person on the planet now. I am pretty sure at some point in our lives someone close to us did something wrong , we stood by them and wanted the public to forgive them , now think , she is that person to someone. I am hopping that if she did it , she acknowledges that she has done something wrong , made a mistake and will correct it .

I am soooo ashamed for the following reasons:

    1. You did not have a job and you asked us (FAMILY) to pray that you got one.

    2. You got one! Then you neglected us and forgot we prayed for you.

    3. You began to live like people in Hollywood and Las Vegas. ( I wonder if the casino in by Krazy coconut wasnt one of your liming spot?)

    4. You treated us like we were nobody, because you began renting vehicles, doing big shopping, brand name clothes for yourself and the children. – Life seem to be rolling good!)

As family and knowing all this and what her original circumstances were, why didn’t you intervene when you saw she was living a lifestyle that didn’t quite match? No, you just sat amongst other family members and talked about how you prayed for her and how she was living! Now is when she needs your prayers and you’re asking what should you do? It’s coming through loud and clear in your post that you were jealous of her and are glad that she hit a brickwall. You should be ashamed of yourself, no one should have to tell you what you should do now? She has children who are innocent in all of this. As family, you still can’t think of anything to do? You are a hypocrite.

        August 26, 2012

I concur with you as it relates to having noted her lavished lifestyle and nothing was done. But was it that they were jealous of her, or as here indicated that they were to afraid to say anything since she had already seemningly abandoned them. I feel for both sides, My recommendation to you family members, keep praying. To Eslyn, find the courage within to say like the Prodigal son, I have sinned against heaven and against my family – Arise and go to them and seek their forgiveness. My heart reaches out for you. To the skeptic may i remind you, yes Prayer still works.

  22. Justice and Truth
    August 25, 2012

This is for Malgraysa who insulted me and called me a cuckoo, someone who does not know anything about me. Such a word should never be expressed on this Website. I do term this person as an ignorant one. I am aware that DNO’s policy does not tolerate such insulting words, such type of language. I do term this person as an ignorant one who does not accord others their due right, dignity and respect. This person needs to learn this and practice it towards those who comment on this Website.
I do not write what I do not know about. I do not criticize others to that extent as you do if I do not know them. I do not utilize insulting words. Curb your rude temper.
You do not know me. You do not know my family, my background and what schools I attended and the type of education I received unless I informed you about it. Therefore, you should be careful about your response as mentioned above.
I know the schools I attended and that I learned proper English and Grammar from the elementary school. We had concerned and excellent teachers who took an interest in their students and their studies.
I am not referring to kindergarten. There are reasons there are elementary schools. It is a preparation for high school. This is the intention of having elementary schools. The high schools do not teach the basics. As I stated when students commence attending high schools, they should know enough about English and Grammar as subjects.
High school is a higher learning and they do learn English and Grammar on a higher level as given by the high school.
If they did not learn Grammar from the elementary school, they are not prepared for high school. This is how I knew it, those who attended those schools as I including those who are older than I am.
I do not know what type of elementary school you attended but you appear to lack knowledge of how the elementary schools operate. If the students do not learn Grammar in the elementary school to the 6th Standard, what did they learn in the elementary school? English, Grammar and Maths are the main subjcts. Do you know the words analyze and parse in Grammar? I learned them in elementary school.
Certain subjects were taught as geography, literature, arithmetic (have not used that word in years). We also learned about the size of Dominica, the names of the towns and its produces including all the West Indian islands from Trinidad to Jamaica and vice versa and the names of their towns and their produces.
Therefore, what do you know about the schooling I received. Do not compare yourself to others and those whom you do not know and have never met. People possess a different degree of comprehension and education.
Let me further inform you I was fortunate to have attended elementary and high school in Dominica. At each school I received an excellent education including discipline. When I look back and when my contemporaries and I reminisce, we pride ourselves of having received such an education which we consider an asset. We were students, children and we made the most of the opportunity. We were obedient children and not rebellious ones. We learned respect for one another. I continue to state that this education is non-to-compare.
Refrain from utilizing insulting words to those who comment on this Website. It is disrespectful and projects one who is ill-natured. It is obvious you do not know any better. Learn to be respectful to others who comment on this Website. This Website is to be used for amicable comments and not insulting ones. Learn the godly virtue of the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you.”

I think that DNO needs to be stricter on that insulting thing from bloggers when people share their opinions. i have been reading the comments on different headline and i have found that the insults are getting out of hand . Everyone has the right to their opinion. Not because someone do not share your view , you have to call them names.

    • August 26, 2012

      Truth and Justice

You are like the “pot with a black bottom, telling the kettle its bottom is black”.

I believe it was two weeks ago, you suggested that I was a “false teacher” of God’s word, because you did not agree the sentiment of two or us, concerning a statement of Dr. Lucia John. Go back in the Columns section to read exactly what you said–even if you did not mention names–you wrote it in a way that we would know who you were talking about.

Again go back to the article of the so-called “virgin Mary” blood drop in Trinidad, and you will remember how you accused me of not having Love in my heart and declaring that “I do not Love Jesus”, as you continued to pass judgment on me, much longer than you have written here, because I am not in harmony with the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church–the Church which you follow.

Now do you know me or do you know anything about me? You boldly insult my relationship with a God–back and forth- whom I know by my faith and the indwelling of Holy Spirit in me; and here you are crying foul because, someone suggested you are cuckoo? What is so insulting about the word cuckoo!

I hope from now you on, you will start to speak to people the way you would like them to speak to you. In other words: “Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you”!

Weirdest part about all this. I think I was there when it happened. Being that, on Monday I went to check her to say goodbye. Heading back to NYC. And we were sitting around her desk talking. Then her coworker came over to her desk and said that she was needed upstairs. We hugged, she went to the back, and I stayed in the lobby sheltering the rain. Crazy to think that she was possibly being arrested upstairs. :-?
This was my #1 best friend in HS. And she was nothing like this. Wish I could cut off my neck and vouch for her now, but years apart could change someone. I don’t know. We don’t know if any of this is true. So stop burying her name. How would you like it if this was you?
However, as for her pass. She was nothing like this. We were both clowns and loved laughing. We were two of the happiest teenagers you could ever encounter. If you were lucky to be around us, you would feel comfortable and belly full of laughter. In school, our main goal was to work hard, pass our classes, and become highly successful one day. We had big dreams. And nothing to do with stealing. We both wanted to earn it on our own, so we could fully enjoy the rewards later.
Esso, I am sad to hear this. Wish I was still home. Sorry love. All the best. I will pray for you.

I am not condoning what the young lady did however she is not the first nor will she be the last person committing theft and forgery at First Domestic Insurance Company (FDIC)

she is the unlucky one, I worked there for quiet a number of years, and know of one gentleman from the valley, he too did the same and nothing was done, although the owner knew, this man did it twice not even one time but twice, all they did he was fired left DA and now residing in the USA

This person was not a youth, so blaming the young people, is wrong, those to set the good examples are the once stealing left right and centre

      @DISAPPOINTED

Bible translators writes that the “love of money” is the root of all evil.

I would rather say the “passion for money”, because I know the sacredness in “Love”. Which is the precious gift of God to us. This Love is to motivate the nature of Holy Spirit in us. There is only “One Love” Love does not give roots to evil, but passion will kill to get what it wants–that is why I say: “The passion for money is the root of all evil”.

But that particular passion is the primary sword that our enemy–who is the god of this world– hands out to us, as we mindlessly accept it.

Mindlessly, because we are not able to understand that this sword is the weapon we will use to steal, kill, and destroy our own self–that is the way the enemy fulfills his work in us.

when people sin it is not something to shut yr eyes to and pretend it never happened. they need to be told, they need to be brought to justice and they need to be helped. no one wants these people stoned to death. so before u quote the bible understand the passage. Dominica has a teefing disease. it also has many other moral disease that people are trying to hide under the carpet. tackle them don’t hide them. the law, the prison, the jail is not enough to deter these criminals. maybe a higher body can. Turn back to God people!

      • August 24, 2012

        @Anonymous

You have said it right! I love the part where you suggested: “Before you quote the Bible understand the passage” That is so true!

Too many of us are quoting from the Bible, because we heard that scripture from someone else; we do not even know the location in the Bible of the Scripture that we quote, much more to know what was the reason for that scripture–I am saying that we never read the Scripture for ourselves–how can we understand its meaning?

You are right also, many of us are indwelt by Holy Spirit, who guides us into the knowledge of God and His ways of Love. Holy Spirit teaches us to know when a person is not following with God’s ways of Love–which ought to be his/her Life in Jesus Christ. Our duty, as Spirit filled people is to remain alert of what Holy Spirit is teaching us, through His guidance, we are called to point out to those peoples the mistakes/sins–which the commit.

Otherwise we will stand just as guilty as the perosn who have sinned. We suffer the consequences of the sins. That was the condition God made with His watchman–the Prophet Ezekiel–he was to report the people according to what he heard from God–should he not do accordingly he would be responsible to receive the punishment of the people–no matter how wrong they were. Read Ezekiel, Chapter 3, that information is there.

After we have pointed people’s wrongs to them, it is up to those people to learn from their mistakes and to maintain the desire to change for the glory of God, who will give them Life, by the blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus also said to the woman who was caught in adaultry: “I do not condemn you, but go and sin no more”!

    • Justice and Truth
      August 23, 2012

      @ calibishie

If God would immediately judge and punish everyone as yourself when they sin, there would be no one on this earth. All would be in Hell. Keep this in mind.

      • August 24, 2012

Before the Blood of Jesus was shed for our sins, people were immediately punished for their sins–it is all written in the Book of Laws, that Book in the Bible is known as the Book of Leviticus.

Do forget the reason God sent a flood that saved only eight human beings–God said that He was sorry that He had created man, because all they did before Him was evil, His Holiness cannot tolerate evil and wickedness. Read that at Genesis, Chapter 6 and 7; I speak and write nothing by my own wisdom and understanding–I almost have none of that. But I am smart!

There was no prison term in the days of ancient Israel, God did not recognize the other nations of the ancient world, meaning that they were not His people, for they did not worship Him. However God commanded the Israelites to maintain what was called Cities of Refuge, where a person who had killed was sent to hide, until the congretion of Israel had weighed the evidence against him.

If that person was found to have committed wilful murder, he would be handed to the family of the person he had killed, that they would stone them to death. If not wilfull murder, he would be sent back to the City of Refuge to remain there until the leading priest of the Congretion had died.

Nonetheless that would not mean he was safe from the family of the person he had killed–they still had the right to stone him to death, should he tresspass their property.

That is the reason for Jesus Christ, today, He is the shield between the Holiness of God, the Father–the Power in Him that cannot tollerate filthiness, which is the sinful nature of us human beings, for this nature of ours provoke the habits–attitude and conducts– in us, which grieves God who is Love–Sacred and Pure.

In other words, in Jesus Christ, God put on flesh that He might bear our infirmities, we who are people of flesh and bones, and to take those infirmities to the grave, where He would bury them forevermore.

That is what it means at John 3:16, which says God gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have Etenal Life. Jesus was the perfect man, without blemish, that is why He was qualified to save us from the gruesome punishment of death–both spiritually and physically. By faith in Him we a have a New Life, “for in Him there was Life and the Life was the Light of men”!

This means that many people are srill existing in their state of perish–sin or no sin–if they have not accepted the Life, which is the Light of their sleeping or dead soul, by faith in God, and through the Spiritual transfusion of the Blood of Jesus Christ–that nature of Blood is Love, God’s Primary nature in Spirit and Truth.

As human beings we will continue to sin in the flesh, but for those of us who have accepted redemption in Jesus Christ, He has already paid the price for the sins we commit; all we need to do is rely on His perfection by our channel of faith, until we enter the renewal of the mind, becoming lost from the things of the flesh, and being found in the things of the Spirit–the Ways of God, who is Love.

Jesus is not going to judge His chosen people for their sins, but He will judge us for our works of Love in this world. The more work of Love that we have done, the greater our rewards in Paradise.

This means that many of us will have very little reward in Paradise, because we are simply sitting around and dreaming of our mansion above–that is laziness, we will gain nothing from it.

However, many, many people will have to stand before the Great White Throne, Judgment Seat of God–those people who will be there will be in deep trouble, because dead or alive, they will be sent to the place of Eternity–that place is better known as Hell–there they will remain under the torment and torture of their worldly god, his name is Satan, for a veeeeeeeeeery loooooooooooooooong time!

Why is it that yesterday when the man was accused of the mining theft his face was posted, however, this woman from Woodfordhill commits the same type of crime yet her face was not exposed?

Secondly, why is it the bail is lower than the amount she stole? Aren’t there too many inconsistencies with the law?

Thirdly, people must learn thou shall not steal. It is the philosophy of materialism and ungodliness that drives these people to do this madness.

Lastly, our people need to really fear God for this is the beginning of wisdom. Faith in God must be a balance of fear and hope, neither extremes.

This lady couldn’t have stolen those large sums of money in a short period of time without practicing first. She might have started with a 10, a 20 then 500 and then she moved to the big Ks.

Temptation is a bitch and we shouldno’t give in to it. We see things we want and we don’t see the dangers associated with getting it. we do anything just to look better, to dress better, to have more than….

If God wanted every1 of this world be financially stable… WE would all be… there are just some things that we can’t have and be satisfied with the little we have.

If you have bread and butter and lime juice for lunch everyday… eat that! don’t go selling urself to the devil for bread and ham.

    • August 24, 2012

      @Anyway

These are good words of Life’s Principles which you spoke above. God has a share prepared for each of us according to our needs. We have to understand that, and to be contented with what we have.

Greed, envy, and jealousy are all part of the sword that Satan hands to us, that by our own “free will” he might do his work of destruction in us.

I do not have a “hundred thousand dollar” income a year, because I do not have the need for that amount of money–God knows that.

People ought to learn to rely on God, as He shows us how to maintain what He has given to us for the sake of our survival in this world–however He has planned this survival for us.

For example God caused me to move to Toronto Canada, because He knew that I would suffer from profound hearing disability, and through the Government of Canada He would give me deliverance from that disability.

Today I have one of the most expensive hearing device in the world–I did not have to pay one penny for it–I could never afford that sum of money. God is Love and because of that nature of His, He is looking after those who put their faith and trust in His authority and His ability.

I will repeat your words for those who have missed it: “Temptation is a bitch we should not give in to”

Jesus showed us that the sword against temptation is the Word of God, when He used them against Satan–who fled away from Him, once and for all. By the Power of Holy Spirit, we can do the same thing–that is what the story of Jesus’ temptation is teaching us.

        @ Liza

Keep in mind that Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “I desire mercy not sacrifice. Go and learn the meaning of it.”
When I quote from Holy Scriptures, I do not repeat what other gentiles state but exactly what Our Lord said and taught us which is contained in my Catholic Holy Bible.
It is not necessary to quote the chapter or the verse. It is necessary to quote them when conducting Bible studies. Quoting the message of the Gospel, the teachings of Our Lord and that of the disciples are sufficient. If one so wishes, he/she could quote it but it is not mandatory. In other words, it is not a sin if they are not quoted. Christians should know what passage they originated from.
Furthermore, for those who state that they go by the Bible, Our Lord did not teach us to go about quoting the chapter or verse. He said, “Go and teach the Gospel.”
The Catholic Church, the first Church, established 2,000 years ago after the Birth of Our Lord, is the first Church who had the Christian Holy Bible, given to It by God Himself, the Church He wanted to (primarily) have the Holy Bible. This Church did not take it or get it from anyone. They were the sole proprietor of Holy Scriptures and still is until the end of time.
The authorities of the Catholic Church were the ones who divided the Bible into the Old and New Testaments. They decided on the appropriate chapters and verses for organizational purposes, making it easier for teachers and scholars and other laity of the Catholic Church to find the appropriate passage, chapter and verse. You were once a practicing Catholic and you should have known that as a member.
Compassion is also the key word. Compassion for those who were tempted and who are weak of spirit. We must speak the truth and address the issue. However, those who call themselves Christians are obligated to practice compassion, as commanded by Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Lord said, “Unless you forgive others, neither will My Heavenly Father forgive you” and more…

        @Truth and Justice

You have just written a pack of mumble jumble in your response above, none of us here needs that kind of gibberish.

Stick with your doctrines of the your Church, the teachings which Jesus describes as man-made rules and laws. I am feeding on the Word of God in the whole Bible, which Jesus said gives me Life, because He is the Word–better known as the Bread Of Life.

I am called by Holy Spirit to share this feeding with my feillow man, from whereever God brings them to me, as He wants them to live just as I live, but not I, it is Jesus Christ who lives in me.

So do not trouble me with your foolishness of human wisdom and philosophy. They are as futile as the state of of death, which you are now living.

Enough with all of that vocabulary list of yours that you try to use, but they simply speaks the confusion of your carnal mind–they do nothing for you, much less for me.

Please spare me the details of your human wisdom and the products of your carnal mind–my mind wants nothing to do with such poisonous feedings–So I am saying no, thank you very much, but I want no commands from you, you are not qualified to do so.

The Dominica Grammar School is a name – of the high school. This does not necessarily mean that all what is taught in that school is ‘Grammar.’ The other high schools in Dominica teach English and Grammar. Furthermore, the basics of English and Grammar are taught in the elementary schools. By the time students commence high school, they should be knowledgeable in Grammar. If some of them did not attend high school but completed elementary school, they should know Grammar.
Life is an on-going learning process. We must have a love for learning and reading. As we grow older and read educating books, magazines, newspapers, newsletters and also listen to Radio and TV broadcasts and certain programs we should build-up our vocabulary which consists of Grammar.
I do believe that some people like to speak and write in dialect and broken English. Keep in mind that no one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes in writing.

      • Malgraysa

Grammar taught in elementary schools? You must be living in cloud cuckoo land! Ask the heads of secondary schools what level of grammar entrants from elementary schools bring with them when they enter their establishment. Yes, people make mistakes but they are to be corrected, not tolerated.

Instead I see tons of thumbs up to a post that may be written with part words, part alphabets, and part figures, like 2 and 4–even me myself have followed that pattern in my identity here–but I do have the complete knowledge of English and the grammar that it demands, you see!

They do not know the difference and are showing their true colours. These days nearly everyone has a computer. This does not mean that they received proper schooling from elementary to high school of all. It shows in their overall attitude, their comments over the Internet, on this Website.
Those who learned English and Grammar know how to communicate properly in person, in writing and on the Internet.
Those who do not like reading long writings, it is because they lack patience. Patience is a godly virtue. It is a Fruit and Gift of the Holy Spirit. So much for some Christians, eh. They would do well to read and learn.
Some of them will talk for long hours on the telephone, on their cellular. They will spend a lot of time on the computer, accessing the Internet. They will stand for hours talking to people but they do not want to read long writings. I had such a conversation with someone who informed me, “They cannot handle it.” :) How true. One has to possess a certain degree of intelligence coupled with patience to (patiently) read what others write. They are not aware that reading is an education in itself.
Some adults want the easy life with everything handed to them on a silver platter and everything explained to them as if they are babies. They want a shortened version. How much can one learn from a shortened version, a one-liner? They do not want to take the time to read. Those who do not love reading will never learn much and nothing educating.
I am experiencing a set of people who still need to go to school and also to learn discipline, how to communicate with others and respect for them.

Those who are matured adults and have read and heard about such happenings, would not lambaste her. On the contrary, they would feel sorry for her. She is now experiencing a Dominica-wide embarrassment, loss of job due to weakness of the spirit. Even though we do not condone theft for we would not like someone to steal from us, we should have some degree of empathy for her.
Remember the two thieves, each on the side of Our Lord Jesus Christ as he hung from the Cross? One of them, “Remember me when you come into your Kingdom.” Our Lord forgave him, then and there.” You know what is contained in Holy Scriptures.
Human beings, as some who comment on this Website are not sympathetic. I do hope her friends will not forsake her. She needs their support as she also goes through the ordeal of reporting to the Police and the subsequent case. If you have the Spirit of God in you, you will comprehend that.
Everyone should keep in mind, the old adage, “There but for the grace of God go I.” No one knows what situation they will find themselves in, in the future, be it they or family members and friends. May God grant you this enlightenment.

      • August 26, 2012

“We do not know what situation we will find ourselves in”, because we do not rely on the guidance and teachings of Holy Spirit, “to know what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect Will of God”, that we might follow them accordingly, for the sake our perfect safety.

“Everybody” is talking about God and the Bible, but “nobody” understands that God wants us to learn His Ways of Love–the Lifestyle or the attitude and conducts, which are the “blue print” that comes with the “New Birth” in Spirit and in Truth, when “somebody” encounters that Birth–that is what the message of the Bible is all about.

And it is only through that “Lifestyle”–the Ways of God–that we are “assured” of the “Perfection” of Jesus Christ, pulling us out the ways of this wicked and evil world.

That is why the apostle Paul teaches us to know, as he says: “It is no longer I who lives but Christ Jesus, who lives in me”. Galatians 2: 20 In other words Paul is telling us, human beings, that we must die to the flesh, by faith, in other that we might walk (live) in the Spirit, Love, by our channel of faith in God.

If we can go to sleep with that thought and to wake up with it in our minds–it is impossible for us not to have assurance of God’s work in us or through us–and God is “Perfect” all in all! He is about the perfection of Life, not sin and its wages of death.

It is about time that people start learning to know God, that they might talk about the positiveness that God blesses them with for His purpose in their lives, and to stop talking against that plan of God, with their we do not know this thing, that thing, and the other thing about God’s plan.

As people who claim to have chosen God, we ought to choose the assurance of Salvation and Reconciliation to Him, otherwise, we might as well forget about Him. And this is Eternal Life, that they may know You, the One True God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17: 3

That negative attitude because of lack of faith, is exactly what the enemy wants you people to maintain–but you cannot get it through that carnal mind of yours–plagued with self pride and arrogance, the futile ideas or thoughts that tells you, you can survive by your own strength. And so there is no point of mentioning God at all, since you do not know Him and His Ways of Life!
