ALBA culture ministers to start arriving today

(DNO) Dominica will today begin welcoming culture ministers of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas (ALBA) to the island.

The ministers and their advisors will be meeting at Fort Young Hotel Wednesday, to focus on the development of cultural industries in Dominica.

“Culture is a major component of the offerings that we have, not only for our own people, but for visitors to the shores of Dominica. This meeting will focus on developing the cultural industries, just as ALBA has worked to develop other sectors in dominica,” said Philbert Aron, Dominica’s ambassador to Venezuela.

Ministers will come from Antigua and Barbuda, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Ecuador, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Cuba and Venezuela.

The culture ministers will also spend some time in the Carib Territory before leaving the island.
