Reigning Junior Monarch, Lemar “Irish Kid” Irish of the St John’s Academy, will take to the stage on Thursday to defend his crown againt ten other competitors from various primary and secondary schools across the island.
The show is expected to take place at Harlem Plaza from 5:00 pm.
The competitors are:
-Tatyana “Taty D” Dangleben representing the Convent High School(CHS), with her song entitled ‘Know your friends’
– Shermya “DJ Mya” Dover-John also representing the CHS with her song entitled, ‘Consolation’
-Daniel Ali “De Ali” Shillingford representing the Convent Preparatory School with his song entitled, ‘Flowers’
-Nia “Nicker” Burnette representing the Wesley High School with her song entitled, ‘What is your Legacy’
-Nickima “ De Empress” Alfred representing the St Martin Secondary School (SMSS) with her song entitled, ‘Living an I World’
-Kayanner “Lady Kay” St.Hillaire also representing the SMSS with her song entitled ‘Water in my Eyes’
-Tyreke “ De-Presser” Stuart representing the Pierre Charles Secondary School
-Loic “Mighty Shanty” Maronie representing the St John Primary School with the song entitled, ‘Knowledge is Power’
-Kian “Mighty Keeyan” Thomas representing the Roosevelt Douglas Primary School with his song entitled, ‘I not too young’
-Roy Alcendor representing the Morne Jaune Primary School.
The event which is organized by the Leo Club of Dominica.
Tickets cost $10 for children, $15 for adults and $25 VIP.

Very disappointed to see the SMA and DGS has no representative. The element, brown sugar, politician, and the mighty zico must be made. These guys were the bomb during these shows in the early 80’s. Are the young men and women from these schools too stuck up and too involve with gangs and drugs. Just concern
