Mirielle Blanchard, a ten-year-old student from Convent Preparatory School, has been crowned Dominica’s 2024 Carnival Princess. The aspiring surgeon won over the audience and judges, earning not only the prestigious title but also awards for People’s Choice, Miss Congeniality, Best Costume, Best Talent, and Best Party Dress.
The first runner-up position went to Ijnanyah James of St. Martin Primary School, who received awards for Miss Photogenic, Miss Intelligence, and Best in Party Dress.
Deanna Jacob from Wills Strathmore Stevens Primary School secured the second runner-up spot and the award for Best in Costume, while Acquiera Benjamin from Concord Primary School claimed third runner-up.
The other contestants included Najanee Euzebe from Sineku Primary School, Tahylar Xavier from Pioneer Preparatory School, Shadissa Walsh from Wesley Primary School, and Catalina Bougouneau from Woodford Hill Primary School, all of whom showcased exceptional skills and poise.
