The village of La Plaine came alive on Sunday during a parade to officially kick off Carnival 2013.
The event was organized by the La Plaine Youth Sports Academy and sponsored Dominica Breweries and Beverages Co.

wish i was there great job everyone
One thing I know, I love the people of La Plaine. A whole village of nice people! That’s where I came to pass my exams years gone by. It was in the last century.[o]! Thanks for the nice man who welcomed a few of us to his kicthen for lunch. A group of hungry kids. And we sure left the platter cleaned. No need to be washed. I would have loved to thank him for his charity and care, but I am sure, he is no more. Well,I’ll just take the time to thank everyone on the Plaine. Thanks for all the pictures. They are beautiful indeed. Precious memories riding by on the truck to my village on the hills far away. That was in the past century ofcourse! All is still green. I like that !
Big up South east- big up M Jaune, La Plaine, Delices—nice job–show them
Who won the miss south east pageant?
very beautiful, nature at it’s best.
TO: DA FOR LIFE
Are you a real or true born Dominican? I don’t think so. If you were you would not be laughing and saying “lol carnival on a hill lol”. Is Dominica all flat? The place you are from, is there all flat? I will not say “lol” for your ignorance.
Congratulations to LA for keeping the carnival tradition alive! All the best for a successful pageant and other activities and most of all a peaceful and enjoyable carnival.
great job on the organization
lol carnival on a hill lol
First of all this is just a parade. Second, we talking about La Plaine, one of the flattest villages in DA. And third we talking about Dominica, a very mountainous island in the Caribbean. Learn to appreciate Dominica!
folks always got something negative to say pay them no mind
yes i
