Hi DNO how come I have T mama and someone else have it too, spelt Ti mama…have to change mine,,
my my my…what a mess….so much to be desired from this ‘Opening of Carnival”….isnt this suppose to be a time where business sectors or otherwise…advertise themselves? last year there was more participation in the opening parade where lots of business houses came out….even the port came out large…
i came all the way from england for the season and i am all prepared to go back in the snow….all i saw was a crowd of teenagers to say the most, young ppl waiting for the arrival of KKK or WCk and made a mess out of the parade!
They didnt care for the floats or the competitions that are to be held..u would swear dominicans never see sewo!young ppl sweating and getting on for a band on a truck?! is that wat we have been reserved too in this place? women in shorts so short..they cant breathe..lil girls doing some kinda dances on the streets…my my my…where are we going?
my friends and i were looking @ footage of carinval back in the day and my 16yr old niece laughed so hard …at the way we used to dress and wat we called sewo back then….that speaks volumes about our nation…nothing to do with technology or the advance of anything….more than we have failed in parenting..with the advance of everything!
Not too impressive. Already its recycled costumes from Last year’s j’ouvert. We can do better
DFC needs to make an investment in a few floats. The parade was of a very low standard. Much improveness needed.
thank you for sharing
leave the caribs alone, focus on how to improve on what we got, i have seen places that wish they could be free like we Dominicans………..
p.s. i miss home like crazy
stupesssssssssssss every year the caribs come out with the same old boring thing. it’s time to change thatMAN!!!!!!!!!!
So what would you say about the Black Devils, Sensay and other traditional bands? What changes do they make every year? You need to recognize that these are the traditional aspects of our carnival. That’s what turn on visitors. Not the follow fashion on Trinidad’s carnival that you and others with myopic minds like you would prefer.
Massive an large, … I love D’a carnival! I jus know jouvert will be grand.
according 2 the pictures it doesnt seem 2 be a parade of costume bands. just looking like a lot of spectators having a sewoh time
you there is not one picture of Jeanne Royer?? come on DNO, thats not good
looking good Dominica
looking dominica
Thats what I am talking about great photos, everbody seems to be having some clean fun, keep it that way Dominica. Blessed!!!
Nice Man!!
Hats off to the organizers. But it can only be a sucess if every one have an enjoyable time and behave themselves. We go see.
Yet they cry things are hard. They have enough money to buy costumes of all kinds, to pay their fare to shows, to buy outfits etc. yet they cry they can’t take care of their children. Action speaks louder than words, Dominicans! I pray you guys will come to know Christ before it is too late and put away all that revelry.
