Levy i support your opinion. It helps to lose the culture. Dominica is the most cultural island in the caribbean and once we lose it, we lose all

Even the pre-schoolers had a creole breakfast – we had a breakfast at one of the most prestigeous company’s which included minced meat and sausages, no bakes, no akra, no cocoa tea – the red substance we presumed to be sorrel. You would swear someone was called at midnight to prepare breakfast for 8am and he/she hurriedly went to their refrigerator to see what they could salvage, then went out in the yard and picked two breadfruits. And it wasn’t even early. That was just a shame.

@SO belle. Levy is not being a hater though. He or she is just stating facts. My family and I wore that same cloth on creole day when my granny passed away because we couldn’t wear the bright madrass. He isn’t dissing anybody believe me…

The black and white plad is nothing new. My grandmother and her family wore it in their time. It comes in handy esp when there is a death in the family around this time of year. Hence, it really does not take away from our culture.

I do not like the black & white plad. Our culture is based on colors and removing it says alot. Let’s not introduce this bland plad.
