Six finalists will on Sunday June 6th 2010 compete for the title of Paix Bouche/ Dos Dane 5Star voice.
They are 10 year old Wayne Thomas, teenagers Mohan Thomas and Charlesie Hector, one youth Sandy Edwards and two adults Frederick Paul and Annette Walter.
Chairman of the council Felina George said they were among 12 contestants at the auditioning held on May 6th one of the activities marking Local Government Month.
“Among the 9 succeeded to Semi finals held on May 23rd, they were judged as the top six Finalists. The show which is on its second year allow contestants to sing one song of their choice at the auditioning, one Caribbean piece at the Semi finals and two songs at the finals,” she said.
The council has been receiving the support of local entrepreneurs in the Paix Bouche Dos Dane community in sponsoring the five star voices song contest.
George said this effort compliments the council initiative in moving into the direction of recording all Small Businesses and Resource Persons of Paix Bouche/Dos Dane for proper reference and to better marketing the communities.
