(DNO) A panel discussion the role of parliament in Dominica and how it works is expected to be the highlight of the Annual Feast of St. Anthony celebrated in Toucarie and Cottage.
Parliamentary representative for the community Reginald Austrie says the panel discussion scheduled for Wednesday will seek to clear the air on a number of issues pertaining to parliament.
“This issue has been in the air for some time now, from elections to petitions, to members of the Opposition vacating their seats. The Dominican people need to be educated on this matter and we have been hearing so much on the talk shows and I think it’s time to educate the people,” he said.
Other members of the panel would be Attorney Lennox Lawrence and Speaker of the House of Assembly Alix Boyd Knights.
Meantime a Domino Festival, a broth on the boulevard, a happy hour jamboree and a church service are also expected to form part of the annual event.
