Salisbury to focus on the way forward

Projects and activities undertaken in Salisbury

The community of Salisbury says it will be focusing on the way forward for its development as it observes the 2012 version of Fete Bawi.

The Salisbury Enhancement Committee, the main organizer of the event, said it will be hosting a series of panel discussions and entertainment activities from October 2, leading up to the fete.

The non-profit organization said it has organized a number of community development activities and projects including the paving of a road en route to the village beach, beautification projects, agricultural workshops and more.

The entire event runs from October 2 to October 7.

I love Salisbury and the beach must be one of the most beautiful on the island, but the litter coming down in the two “waterfalls” on the beach is shameful. And too much broken glass on the beach and basketball court.
Also, the litter in at the sides of the road throughout the village.
If you could get the villagers to take responsibility for keeping the village clean, that would be a major breakthrough.
Salisbury is an amazing place, with lovely, friendly people.
