‘Do nothing’ receives support from some business owners, says Pastor Rodney

Pastor Randy Rodney, Edison James

Pastor Randy Rodney, host of Q-95 Radio Kingdom Connection Program has said that some businesses around Roseau showed support for the “Do Nothing” campaign on Monday by shutting down their establishments for the day.

Although some Dominicans here and abroad criticized the campaign, Pastor Rodney believed a strong statement was sent since these businesses took a stance and did nothing.

“There were some businesses I saw that were shutdown in Roseau and it seems like some people are feeling the pinch. They have been feeling the pinch, so they are making a point which is absolutely necessary,” he said. “A point needs to be made to our government that we will not continue to take business as usual.”

According to Rodney, people who become tyrants and change democratic parliamentary regimes never admit they are doing wrong.

“They keep sidestepping and sidestepping until they make bad matters worse, not just for them but for the people,” he remarked.

Meanwhile, Former Prime Minister of Dominica, Edison James said the campaign was aimed at highlighting the disappearance of our money.

“That’s what it is about,” he said. “Every time you hear do nothing, I would like people to reflect. Do nothing now has to do with our money back.”

He continued, “People are seeing that, businesses are closing…everybody is feeling it.”

Rodney, every moment you spend wasting your time as guest speaker with political parties, you are not doing your duty as a pastor. Your true purpose is to preach the gospel, the repentance of sin and baptized in the name of Jesus to the lost sheep. The harvest is plenty and the workers a few. Please dont be a pastor who want to be liked. Look around you Rodney. Alcohol, smoking, hatred to one and other, envy, jealousy, sexual immoral, men are not supporting their children, adultery, are destroying the people. You calling Rodney is to preach the gospel Sir and call the people to repent.

First MEME you are a complete ahole.A Dominican passport CANNOT be sold. The passport is and will always be the property of the GOVERNMENT of the commonwealth of Dominica. For anybody to get a passport they must pay $150 to the treasury. That $150 is to USE the passport, not to OWN it,Jacka. You say BILLIONS are missing, tell the Dominican people in which country,in whose name, give the account # and in which bank the billions are.If you cannot do that then shut your foolish mouth. Those so called smart people are so foolish they said Skerrit had a French passport. They said they had evidence of a French passport in Skerrit name, they had passport #,date of issue and date of expiry. At court they could not produce the evidence.Skerrit is the defendant but the aholes are asking the Judge to tell Skerrit bring the passport.Skerrit denied having a French passport.Dictators putting the burden of proof on the defendant. That is how foolish the blue aholes are.The majority of Dominicans are not aholes.

1 business is 1 start. Is either we stand together or we continue the allow our good name as a nation to be tarnished by a chosen few. Unfortunately, business people say they cannot afford to close. But refuse to open on a Sunday or Saturday afternoon to evening. laughable.

TBH, nothing is happening in Dominica anyway, therefore a do nothing strike will have absolutely no effect. Unemployment is already high. If not for NEP it would be much much higher. NEP is a complete strain on the treasury and a clear indication of a failing private sector. But these laborites that only there for the sewo and the freeness will never ever see it like that. Left to them Skerrit Christ is the best thing since Jesus himself. at least until he rubs them the wrong way. But that is usually short lived. He know how to make all you forget easily with scraps.

Good for those businesses that closed in support of the do nothing day. I hope their employees receive full compensation for Monday.

You have no authority to speak on behalf of Dominica customers. Stop making a fool of yourself.

As far as I can see and read. I have more authority to speak than you know. On the behalf of those who want to read and make sense of the B.S That you and your political want to be leaders.

Do you mean that a pastor and a man of God should stay silent when his country is being plundered by one wicked human being?
Are you a mad person or corrupt person?

@daroots If you knew anything about the Holy Bible then you would have kept your mouth shut or agree with the pastor. He is doing what is within his calling as a minister of the gospel; and that is to call out those who are doing wrong, whether in the church or in the world. It was the prophets who were sent out to warn the wicked people of all walks of life. These men of God were sent to deliver warnings to kings, people and nations. Your priests doesn’t have any Balls, courage, or the spirit of God in them; and that’s the reason why they have nothing to offer to the struggling people of Dominica. They are not ministers of God or the gospel. So stop with your ignorance. If there was any righteousness in the land the pastor would have no need to be out there devoting his time away from his flock and family to call out those things that are wrong. You should be thankful that we still have this Freedom. It’s not so in China 🇨🇳.

Randy should tell us how many businesses. He dares not because he would look even more foolish than he already does. Lol!   Yeah, three businesses; two of which are owned by the same family. Three potos Workers! And they did not have the appetite to continue as instructed: “until our demands are met.” Dominicans eh choopid! Not even the other poto Workers near the Post Office was shut, or the other big-nosed one in the South.

Randy has more guts than catguts. Linton has worked a number on this Rod. The mind-bending has been completed.

You’ll do everything possible to maintain the status quo, because you are greedy and living high. But what you have forgotten is that there are many that have been totally abandoned, and those people will end your rule over them. Whenever you sense the people are coming out, you poke out your greedy neck with nonsensicalities, but nothing lasts for ever.

Who cares whether you govto church or not! That’s entirely your business. What you have staring you in the eyes is a failed Dominica that has been raped, pillaged and plundered from 2004 to 2024. Are you not concerned about your missing money? Well it’s not the good pastor that has stolen it.

“DO NOTHING” I saw it as an off-the -cuff pronouncement by those addressing the meeting on February 25th, but it was still very effective.. This goes to show how Dominicans are really feeling the squeeze from the polluted, fetid and highly corrupt Skerrit Labour Party. It’s shameful to see how the country has been transformed into a place of beggars, while one man (who should be arrested long ago), cannot account for missing BILLIONS of dollars generated from passport sales. “Do NOTHING” had DLP devotees who never worked in their life, occupied on that weekend working!! What a thing!!
I look forward to other events in the near future, and one special event asking for SKERRIT’S ARREST and shackle for not being able to account for monies generated from our passport sales. Everybody is BROKE, Dominicans need their money Skerrit!
