Dominica entrepreneur Carlene Frazer advances to top six in CYE competition

Dominica’s entrepreneurial prowess shines as Carlene Frazer, a prospective member of JCI Dominica, secures a coveted spot in the top six of the Creative Young Entrepreneur (CYE) Competition for the Americas. Frazer’s success in the competition so far, underscores JCI Dominica’s commitment to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship among its members and the community.

The CYE Competition, a JCI initiative, is dedicated to fostering innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. She will now represent Dominica at the CYE Conference of America competition in Paraguay, where she will showcase her company’s vision and potential to a global audience.

“Though virtually, we are thrilled to have Carlene Frazer represent Dominica at the CYE Conference of America,” said Shonna Harris, President of JCI West Dominica. “Her achievement highlights the incredible talent and innovative spirit present in our country and region.”

The CYE Competition, open to both JCI members and non-members, provides a platform for entrepreneurs to pitch their groundbreaking ideas and compete for resources to turn their dreams into reality. The eligibility criteria for the 2024 CYE Competition include active business operations for a minimum of three months, a strong business plan, compelling presentation skills, and age eligibility between 18 to 40 years.

“We are more committed than ever to providing a platform where aspiring entrepreneurs can showcase their businesses and compete on a global stage,” added the West Indies President, Senator Meritta Hyacinth. In the top six, JCI West Indies secured two spots with Miss Frazer and another delegate from JCI Antigua.
