The recently released 2024 Henley Passport Index by Henley & Partners reveals that Dominica’s passport ranks among the top ten in the Caribbean region and 34th globally, according to the London-based global citizenship and residence advisory firm.
The Henley Passport Index, covering 199 passports and 227 travel destinations, remains the most authoritative ranking of world passports, offering insights into the power of passports and the freedom of movement they provide.
Henley’s latest report, the first of the year and quarter for 2024, as always, evaluates national passports based on their power – the number of destinations passport holders can visit without a prior visa. According to the report, holders of Dominican passports enjoy visa-free access to 144 countries.
This most recent report reveals a minor increase in Dominica’s global ranking despite a slight decrease in visa-free-travel destinations. In the previous year, it held the 35th position, affording its citizens visa-free access to 145 destinations.
Barbados, securing visa-free access to 165 destinations and holding a global passport ranking of 22, has once again emerged with the most powerful passport in the Caribbean region for the ninth consecutive year. The regional ranking includes The Bahamas at number two, with a global ranking at #24 and visa-free access to 158 destinations.
Other regional countries to outrank Dominica are St Kitts and Nevis and St Vincent and the Grenadines, both globally ranked at #25 with visa-free access to 157 destinations. Antigua and Barbuda follows at #27 globally, Trinidad and Tobago at #29 with access to 151 destinations, and Grenada and St Lucia both at #32 with visa-free access to 148 destinations.
At the global level, an unprecedented six countries share the top spot on the 2024 Henley Passport Index, boasting visa-free access to a record-breaking 194 destinations. These countries – France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, and Singapore – hold the number one position for the most powerful passport in the world in 2024.
Conversely, Afghanistan holds the least powerful passport, ranked 104th with access to just 28 destinations, underscoring global disparities in travel freedom. With historical data spanning 18 years and regularly updated expert analysis on the latest shifts in passport power, the index is said to be an invaluable resource for global citizens and the standard reference tool for government policy in this field.

The EU is just too bloated and rely like the U.S, on bullying, what they consider 3rd world countries into conforming to their values with threats of sanctions.
