The Dominica National Senior Women’s Team has recorded their first victory in the 2023 Concacaf Women’s Gold Cup Qualifier.
The away match against Antigua and Barbuda yesterday resulted in a 2:1 score in favour of Dominica.
This is the fourth match in League B of the Women Gold Cup Qualifiers for the Dominica team.
The home match against Antigua and Barbuda in this Concacaf qualifier was held on Wednesday, October 25, at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in Saint Lucia. The game ended in a scoreless draw for both teams.
The team’s opening home match was held on September 20, 2023, against Suriname at the Windsor Park Stadium in Dominica. The outcome of the match was Dominica 0 and Suriname 4.
Its first away match – Guyana (5) versus Dominica (0) – was held on September 24 in Barbados.
The team is scheduled to play two final matches – one home and one away – in November against Guyana, and in December, against Suriname respectively.
