The Dominica National Council of Women has congratulated Her Excellency Sylvanie Burton on her election as President of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
“We extend best wishes to her for accepting such a noble and prestigious position and we, as women are proud of such achievement,” Executive member of the Women’s Council said in a statement issued on Wednesday. “We pray God’s blessing on her as she executes her duties as a stateswoman for the overall good of the Commonwealth of Dominica.”

Unfortunately, for the Council, its very selective and biased stance on this issue is the final nail in its casket. It has lost any credibility it had left.
