So, I was almost fooled until I read about this “skyrocketed to number 2 on the worldwide soca charts, marking a significant milestone in Ridge’s illustrious career.”

So, since I’ve never heard of such musical chart, I wish someone could direct me to where I can view that, and listen to this Soca.

Soca, actually Soul and Calypso music combined. Soul is Black American music, came around in the 1960’s. Calypso been around forever, yet it is not Internationally known. The Trinidadians coined the term “Soca?
Nobody internationally sings Soca, so how can there be a Soca Bill-board featuring this sort of music?
Somebody is delusional, Soca is a Trinidad rendition a combination (mixture) of Soule & Calypso, which has never made it internationally, the same as Calypso never did, so whereas his thing might be popular in some places in the Caribbean, such songs are not heard in Europe, nor North & South America, the Middle East, and the world as claimed!

Absolutely agree! That song (noise) is undiluted concoction of waste water and bodily discharge. Just a repetition of an indecipherable language. It’s like speaking in tongues.

P.S. Thank you DNO for fixing the REPLY mechanism.

Is that what “chat topping” sounds like?
And…..”delves into social issues and personal narratives, addressing themes of life, relationships, and love.”

    Some people are truly delusional.

Zandoli, Sometimes I think that some people in Dominica are not only delusional, but just outright crazy!
When someone speaks about something that’s international, global, or all over the world: such as music, they are saying that the song is on Radio all over the entire world, and in every home.
These people have no idea how stupid is that lie and belief is. The most recognizable rhythm in music to come out of the West Indies came out of Jamaica, Rege, Jimmy Cliff the originator, although Bob Marley is recognized for taking it to as far as Germany in Europe.
Nevertheless, I am positive, one will not go to Russia or the Middle East, or on the korea Peninsula and find Regae; never mind Calypso in whatever form, añd Dominica patios music!
The thoughts of those people are delusional, it’s an illusion, they’re are crazy.

I love Caribbean music – reggae, calypso, soca. That chart-topping song “She Want That Ah” by Money Shaun, should be described as the WORST composition of a song of our generation.

It’s a ‘nothing burger’. The only persons who could enjoy that noise (song) are persons who would consume ale for a whole day, and get senselessly inebriated.
