Dominican worker to undergo surgery after fall

Jordan Joseph

Dominican Jordan Joseph, who was critically injured from a construction site fall in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), is scheduled to undergo surgery in Jamaica this week.

Joseph fell from a three-storey building while doing construction work on April 13, and was flown to Jamaica immediately afterwards in critical condition.

He is reportedly undergoing slow but steady recovery.

“He’s progressing fairly well. He is eating and sitting up and they are planning on doing surgery soon,” Bishop John Cline of the New Life Baptist Church, who is overseeing the construction project, told media in the BVI.

According to Bishop Cline, Joseph’s face was severely injured in the fall, but reconstructive surgery is expected to give him a chance at a normal life.

Joseph was part of a construction crew working on a building called “Save the Seed,” which is being built by the church, when the accident occurred.

He is originally from Paix Bouche.
