Drug Bust in the Layou Valley

Drug bust at Layou
Uprooted marijuana trees from the drug bust in the Layou Valley

Police have destroyed a large number of marijuana trees in a drug bust in the Layou Valley.

According to a release from police PRO, Inspector John Carbon, a total of 7202 marijuana trees ranging from 6 feet to twelve feet were uprooted and destroyed by fire.

100 pounds of cured marijuana was also destroyed.

The anti-drug operation was conducted on August 30, 2013, by members of the Drug Squad, Task Force and Special Service Unit along with a cross section of the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force.

One man from St. Joseph was arrested and remains in police custody in connection with the drug bust.

There are those who claim that other countries have legalized marijuana and some are on the verge of legalizing it. So what? This is Dominica and may it never be legalized in this country.
It does not matter whether other countries legalize marijuana. Those leaders are legalizing immorality of certain sorts. They are leading their people, those who follow them and their country down slippery slopes. Some have already arrived down slippery slopes forever to their eternal detriment.
It is God’s world. He created it. He created good plants and some bad ones for whatever reason. Some are edible and others are not. It seems to me that the marijuana tree is a forbidden tree. Otherwise government authorities of those countries would not be arresting those who grow it, traffic in it and sell it to others.
This reminds me of the Garden of Eden. Our Almighty Father showed Adam and Eve a tree and told them they must not eat of the fruit of that tree or they will die. We know the story of who tempted them to eat the fruit of the tree.
God tested their obedience and they failed. We are bearing the consequences of their action as, “The sins of the father follow their children.” It is similar to marijuana and those types of plants that are illegal to grow in our land.
As God looks on, those who legalize immoralities and what which contribute to ill health and demise, those who are left behind will pay for it in time for they have highly offended God and caused others to do likewise including the youths.
You want to live a healthy, long life? Live in godliness and eat nutritiously. Cease ingesting marijuana and the likes of illegal drugs.
Those who ask if medication heals, it may heal and stabilize the ailment. Medication is approved by the Food and Drug Administration and whatever name in the land of manufacture and/or importation.
Generally marijuana is not approved. It is still illegal in many countries. As with some other immoral legislations, I am stating, woe to those gvernments that legalize it and woe to anyone who plan to legalize it. In the end, it will be their funeral.
If you lack godly enlightenment to accept it and comprehend it, this is what Our Lord Jesus Christ said: “Not all can accept it. Hear and understand. Who has ears ought to hear.” This is self-explanatory.

In Matthew 23:27 we read the words spoken by Jesus when addressing the leaders of the church in that time. It reads: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. Even so you also out-wardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.” It is obvious, we have to be honest and look at the facts and figures as they are known to us today. Also we have to realize that we cannot build our opinion based upon the fact of whether or not marihuana or hashish are legal, because governments decide not only on what is good for the people, they also look at financial aspects. It is all about profit and our leaders want to stay in control. Let us look at some figures.

Number of deaths attributable to selected substances in a typical year:

      Tobacco 340,000 – 395,000
      Alcohol (excluding crime/accidents) 125,000+
      Drug Overdose (prescription) 24,000 – 27,000
      Drug Overdose (illegal) 3,800 – 5,200 Marijuana 0

Some go about saying that marijuana is sacred. Sacred for whom? Who said marijuana is sacred? If it were sacred it would be used in every church throughout the world. It is sacred for one segment of society, those who disown all what is good in this world and good for us.
Marijuana is not even used as incense. It does not qualify as that. Just as there are unbelievers (of God), only the ignorant make such a statement and another set of ignorant people will believe them.
Did God inform you that it is sacred? Do not make me laugh at your stupidity. Anyway you made me laugh and shake my head in disbelief that sensible people will believe that marijuana is sacred. It may be that you are not sensible. You must be from another world.
Stand before God stoned on marijuana and with a leaf or a tree in your hand/presence and note where you will end up for all eternity.
I do believe that people who smoke cigarettes stand a better chance of obtaining eternal salvation than those who smoke marijuana.
First of all, some who smoke marijuana are among the radicals, opposing everything that is good and everyone who stands up for the truth. They will kill and steal to purchase these illegal drugs, some to resell it.
Ever heard of people killing and stealing to purchase cigarettes? If any, they are few and far in between. If they steal it, it will be for themselves and/or to resell.
Those who traffic in it, causing others to ingest it, spreading this evil in their environment and further, they will eventually bear the consequences. Keep in mind that you have a soul. This soul will return to God for judgment for what was done in the earthly body.

I is the one who say that ganja is sacred so u r refering to I. Let me tell u something justice and truth, u is a christian and I am a rasta woman. Christianity done have u trap and blinded so u can’t see the light.
U then say I ignorant. Look at yourself when u say such thing, ignorant means lack of knowledge and clearly u lack of knowledge which means u r the ignorant one and idiot too, promoting man made cigarette over herb which JAH created.
I know who I am and where I come come, meaning my roots, and ganja part of who I am. I use it to give upper praises unto my saviour.
U always so quick to mention about god, hypocrite u r. I don’t have vain imaginations like u, believing and worshiping idols and graven images, dying and going to heaven in Jesus name. I worship EMPEROR SELASSIE I, CONQUERING LION, TRUE AND EVER LIVING GOD. And yes marijuana is sacred, it also keeps me calm and makes me smarter.
I will not stand stoned b4 I god but high, higher than the falling rain and I know where my soul will b, at peace with the most high and not with u in your imaginary heaven.
I don’t live by the laws of man like u but by laws of the most high RASTAFARI, we r not radicals, we rebels.
My advice to u is go burn a spliff and ask ask JAH for wisdom, knowledge and overstanding

Smarten up, you who want marijuana legalized. You think you are smart but you are not. Wait and you will find out.
In this case, those who are on the side of God, on the side of morality and good health, will always meet with opposition and criticism rom those who lack mortal and spiritual enlightenment. Your godlessness is projecting itself.
This is why some will never enter God’s holy, clean, pure Eternal, Blissful Kingdom. There is no marijuana and other drugs there; no immorality. If you cannot break those evil chains of false teachings and immorality on earth, woe to you for all eternity.
Some of you who comment on this Website, according to your comments have depicted this very well, who and what you are. You have the nerve to correct people even as your writing and spelling are extremely poor and leave much to be desired. Learn to read, write and communicate amicably and respectfully to others. That was a waste of government resources, tax payers money and Chinese government money. That was also a wasted opportunity to sell that ganja to the people of Colorado. I wonder if our UN rep in New York could negotiate a deal with Colorado for DA to supply them with ganja? Hmmm…Ganja going to be legal in all the US soon…I hope DA ready to send some boat loads up there…Doe let the Jamaicans monopolize the market. Time for our government to start negotiating with the different state governments in the US…LOL.. A sure re-election strategy sitting right there in your face.

As long as there is opportunities in growing drugs (money) the fight will be lost legalize the bloody thing and see how many people will grow it. It is a war that will never be won and I say NEVER!

Legalize and those that sell it for medical use will pay taxes on the profit, win win

U have so much hundreds of kilos of cocaine being protected by the police and those in authority. U have legal murder, innocent babies getting killed by the hundreds by abortions.
Then again its the nature of governments to support the bad over good, with a nasty scorn the wicked come and look at life.

  7. The Authorities
    September 2, 2013

WASHINGTON (AP) — Despite 75 years of federal marijuana prohibition, the Justice Department said Thursday that states can let people use the drug, license people to grow it and even allow adults to stroll into stores and buy it — as long as the weed is kept away from kids, the black market and federal property.

We The Authorities must remind Dominicans that as long as they are dependent on aid from the U.S. Federal Government, this new ruling does not apply to Dominicans.

As the first Director of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics Harry J. Anslinger said to facilitate the Marijuana Tax Act of 1937:

“There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos, and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz, and swing, result from marijuana use. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers, and any others.”

“…the primary reason to outlaw marijuana is its effect on the degenerate races.”

“Marijuana is an addictive drug which produces in its users insanity, criminality, and death.”

“Reefer makes darkies think they’re as good as white men.”

“Marihuana leads to pacifism and communist brainwashing”

“You smoke a joint and you’re likely to kill your brother.”

“Marijuana is the most violence-causing drug in the history of mankind.”

It is illegal to grow them. As I will always state, better to grow fruits and vegetables which are nutritious for human consumption. In time they could get rich by selling them.
Marijuana is not nutritious and does not heal illnesses. It leads to an early and quick demise. This is the bottom line.

Would you make cigarettes with it? It is worst than cigarettes. You do know that people do not get high on cigarettes but will get high ingesting marijuana.
Some people do not think prior to making statements. They only think on the surface without giving them in-depth thoughts. Who would you sell it to? The youths, to contaminate their minds?
Do not wish that marijuana be legalized. There will be more problems in Dominica which you will live to regret.

But what the still burns me is that the big men who sells the cocaine are still left to destroy young people life. These are the people we want the police to catch and stop. Not the small one who sell the $5.00 pieces, the big men who brings in the 100’s of kilos.
