Japanese Volunteer Naoko Yachi attached to DAPD Inc. will also accompany the delegation.
The group leaves Dominica on Sunday August 14, 2011 and returns August 22, 2011.
Are the disabled people in Dominica even considered? Especially the blind.
The members of the DAPD should take a walk around Dominica to experience what the disabled must have to go through. No where to walk safely, no wheelchair access , no pavement markings to let the blind know where it is safe to cross the road, holes in the streets, broken pavements, (the list goes on and on). Dont just focus on training self motivation, leadership etc, focus on every day functioning.
