The North Eastern District Adventist Youth Society (NE DAYS), last Saturday evening, held a benefit concert at the Arawak House of Culture, themed Balm in Gilead.
The concert was aimed at raising funds for the medical expenses of Kelly Magloire, a musician, who suffers from impaired vision and has to seek surgery abroad.
Executive Member of NE DAYS, Aliyah James, describes the venture as a success and, in a statement, sought to thank those who helped make it so.
James said, “NE DAYS wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the persons who supported the Balm in Gilead fund raising events on behalf of Kelly Magloire. Your financial contribution was deeply appreciated. The event was indeed successful and we were able to raise significant funds to assist with the cost of Kelly’s medical procedure.”
She added, “Special thanks to the individuals who assisted with promotions, especially James Coaire and Nurse Priscilla Prevost, the performing artists and musicians including Tyson Johnson, Hebrew Boys, Teddy Pendant, Promise, the Mission Band and the members of the North Eastern District Praise Team.”
Magloire, who is expected to leave the island later this week, said, “We solicit your continued support through prayers.”
Kelly I wish you all the best and hope that your sight is restored.
God bless
