Government officials are expressing satisfaction over the progress of construction work on the Silver Lake Housing Initiative.

Ambrose George, parliamentary representative for the Roseau South Constituency which includes Silver Lake, and Reginald Austrie, minister for housing, visited the area recently to get a first-hand view of its progress.

George stated that the people of Silver Lake are eagerly awaiting the project’s completion.

He said the initiative demonstrates government’s commitment to empowering the lives of the residents of Silver Lake by providing them with a better living conditions. He descried the Silver Lake Housing Initiative as a special project which is particularly pleasing for him as Parliamentary Representative.

Work on the first phase of the Silver Lake Housing Initiative is expected to be completed within the coming months.

A total of 36 people are employed on the project.

The three-story building houses two one-bedroom and four two-bedroom apartments units.

If you have a million dollars to put up a building that can be constructed for $600,000.00 would you not move it?
The Contractor and his political protege are walking away with $300K on this project.
That’s good, a few SHALL EAT!
By the way, what became of the ALL SHALL EAT slogan?
