As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, representatives from Arton Bank Corporation presented the Petite Savanne Primary School with a cheque of 16,173.05 ECD to assist with the improvement of its educational facilities. This donation will be used for the building of a Picnic Shelter in the school yard.

This project will serve to provide pupils with a sheltered area to sit and have their snack/lunch and an outdoor area for studying, having classroom sessions or relaxing.

With approximately 70 pupils, the Petite Savanne Primary School located on the southern part of the island is empowered with six dedicated and inspirational teachers.
This co-ed institution has been at the service of its community for many years and continues to excel at national competitions in the areas of sports, reading, writing and most recently in the Grade Six National Assessment (G6NA) securing the 3rd, 4th and 5th positions nationwide.

“This amount represents the proposed cost of the picnic shelter and is expected to contribute significantly towards a comfortable and stimulating learning environment for the students” said the representative of Arton Bank Corporation.

“Arton Bank holds education and the continuing of education for children as an important task which is vital to not only the individual but also to the community and the nation as a whole,” said the Arton’s representative.

Great! This school is making strides! I am very elated for that. I must congratulate the teachers, staff and parents. They have all worked collaboratively to achieve these exceptional results in both the reading competition and Grade 6 National exam. This will serve as an incentive to continue the hard work. I applaud the students and staff of the Petite Savanne Primary School!

DNO, the next time Arton Bank sends you a press release tell them you want the name of the representative that was quoted.

I bet the person who wrote the article made up those quotes.

thank you for the donation, it will go a long way to assist our children who attend the PSPS. it has been way overdue for the children to have an area to sit and eat during recess time and also for outside classes. these people have heard the plight of the PTA and principal. thank you once again
