Commonwealth Jubilee Scholarship opportunity

Dominicans wishing to further their education now have the opportunity to do so under Grenada’s St. George University Commonwealth Jubilee Scholarship Program.

The program is expected to give 60 Commonwealth citizens the opportunity to do advanced degrees with a full tuition scholarship.

It commemorates 60 years of the Queen as head of the Commonwealth.

Scholarships are available in the following fields for citizens across the Commonwealth including Dominica:

ten (10) each for the Doctor of Vetinary Medicine Program, Doctor of Medicine Program and Public Health Program and fifteen (15) each for the Master in Business Administration Program and the School of Arts and Sciences.

To be eligible, a candidate must be a resident of a Commonwealth country, must submit an essay outlining how the scholarship will benefit the development of his or her country and must be accepted at St. George’s University.

The scholarship is tuition only, hence, applicants must have a financial plan to cover living and travel expenses.

Deadlines for submission of applications are June 1, 2013 for the August 2013 class and November 1, 2013 for the January 2014 class.

For further information interested persons are asked to contact the Dominica High Commission in London at [email protected] or telephone: 020 7370 5194.
