Jovanni Peter of the St. John’s Primary School has outperformed competitors to grab 1st place in the second competition of round two of the DBS/Ministry of Education Reading Competition.
Second place went to Khalid Leblanc of the Penville Primary School, while Solika Dupigny captured third place.
The rest of the results are as follows:

5th Place – Grace Vidal Coulibistrie Primary
6th Place – Anisha Austrie Temple SDA

Temple SDA should have placed higher. I do not know what we have against Adventist schools but as an objective observer, I think something is wrong. I am happy though that the two boys did well. But we must stop letting our silly biases discourage our children.
I listened to this competition closely out of Dominica with non-Dominicans and they too were surprised at the results. Lets see if we can do better as the competition progresses. As far as I am concerned fair is fair.
