DGS hosts talent show

A student performs at the event

A talent show was one of many activities staged by the Dominica Grammar School (DGS) to celebrate its 120th anniversary.

The show held at the Harlem Plaza earlier this week, included performances by past and present students.

Patrons were entertained by the likes of Michele Henderson, Ras Mo, Ras Judah, Della Gachette, Mr. Winston and other  past students of the DGS.  Current students of the institution also performed.

One of the organizers of the event Gezel Mondesire, a teacher at the school, said the venue was sponsored by Bobby Frederick who is a past student of DGS. She said the event was well organized and attended by about 600 patrons.

She thanked all the performers and all those who patronized the show or assisted in one-way or another. She also thanked the staff members who took time off to participate and those who just attended.

DGS celebrated its anniversary on January 16 but activites continue until January 18 with an official ceremony at the Windsor Park Stadium to be attended by government officials.
