Gala celebrations of student achievement have become time-honored traditions at Monroe College and this semester’s President’s and Dean’s (P and D) List events on the Bronx and New Rochelle Campuses once again illustrate on the college’s core values: commitment to accomplishment.

Twice each year, Monroe invites students who qualified for the President’s list with a 3.70 – 4.0 GPA and those who make the Dean’s list with 3.4 – 3.69 GPA to a festive dinner and dance at a prestigious venue. The most recent New Rochelle P and D event honored students at the Greentree Country Club on Thursday 3rd November, 2011.

The following Dominican students were honored at the event: Keerah Ashford, Hilson Francis, Kisha Tavernier, Samirah Joseph, Alwin Hill, Dian Roudette, and Rockcy Sorhaindo.

The students said they are proud to represent Dominica in whatever way they can.

what does shoes have to do with education? Don’t you wish you had an education with a pair of blue shoes on? STUPID PEOPLE!!!!

  3. November 12, 2011

Dominicans amaze me. A blue pair of shoe seem to distract them so easily. either they refuse to congratulate the young lady for her hard work because of past conflicts with her or they’re down right jealous. If only you guys had that blue shoes, how happy would you be? Foolish Dominicans, always trying to bring one another down…. then ask yourselves why is the country getting harder, and look up to your so called prime-minister to save you… fools…..

  4. November 12, 2011

what does dressing have to do with education… petty fools….

Roudette as Shillo would say you are doing well, congrates and all the best. Even at the DSC I knew you had potential. Keep your head above water and continue to work hard. your reward awaits you as you continue to strive. To the others congrates and all the best to you all.

If you only knew of the sacrifices that one must make when they are studying you would pay less attention to the shoes and more to the accomplishment. Every penny you’ve got goes into tuition, books transportation and board and lodge. Leave the students alone.
Way to go guys. Congratulations to you all.

A.A. I find all you Dominicans rude for commenting on the girl shoes. What if her dress has blue? What if that’s all she had to wear. Some of you don’t even know how to dress but are quick to tell others about their dressing. Come see some of you on facebook looking like frogs and on Sundays going to church like Madea. She did well academically ,so congratulate her

BET IF YOU HAD GOTTEN THAT FAR, OR EVEN CLOSE TO WHERE SHE IS, YOU WOULD KNOW HOW TO SPELL ‘REACH’-INSTEAD OF ‘EACH FOR …’ CONCENTRATE ON THE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, NOT ON THE FASHION. RESERVE YOUR COMMENT FOR TYRA BANKS SEASON.
CONGRATS HONEYS ON ALL YOU DID. BEING A RECENT GRADUATE, I KNOW THE SACRIFICES IT TAKES.
