The National Drug Prevention Unit is currently holding two drug education workshops for primary schools in the Roseau and Valley districts.
Head of the Drug Prevention Unit in Dominica Jacinta Bannis reported that 42 students along with 14 teachers are participating in the workshop currently underway at the University of the West Indies Open Campus.
“Sessions will be conducted in life skills and drug education. The aim of the workshop is to help students to make wise and healthy choices and to enable them to know more about the dangers of drugs,” she said.
She said the other workshop will commence on Thursday and will target students and teachers from Roseau.
