When the Dominica Association of Teachers (DAT) meets for their 10th Biennial Conference on Wednesday, they will be updated on the current salary negotiations with government.
Public Relations Officer of the DAT Francis JnoLewis said the issue of insurance negotiations as well.
“Currently the union is engaged in salary negotiations for 2010/12 and we will be ending that after being engaged for over the past two months. They will be updated on the status of this negotiation so far. Election of officers will also take place,” he said.
He said discussions will also be held on the summer workshop while the election of a new executive is also down on the cards.
The theme of the conference is “Build the Future, Investing in Teachers Now.”
The event is carded for 8:30 am at the Garraway Hotel.
