The Wesley High School celebrates a hallmark anniversary this year – its 90th – on the 16th of October, 2016. The theme for these celebrations is “90 years of building a legacy”.

There are several activities planned to mark this momentous occasion in our school’s history.

Among them are a Worship Service at the Bethesda Methodist Church on Sunday, 16th October at 10.15 a.m.; a Special Assembly on Monday, 17th October at 8.15 a.m. also at Bethesda Church where our guest speaker will be Reverend Ruth Pratt.

It is also New Tie Day and Alumni and well wishers of WHS are encouraged to purchase a tie at the school and wear it proudly on that day or wear blue and yellow our school colours.

The activities continue with an Anniversary and Awards Dinner on Saturday, 22nd October at 7.30 p.m. at the Garraway Hotel, a lunch sale on Creole Day and a movie called “Slow Fade” by members of the Drama Club and friends of the school on 31st October.

There will also be a Sports Day on October 15 at Lindo Park from 10.00 a.m., an Exhibition and Talent Show on October 27 and House Assembly by BARRETT, GILBERT and ERREY House on 4th, 11th, and 18th October respectfully.

On the “KEEPING IT REAL” Programme on DBS on October 12, 9.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. we will look at Wesley High then, now and in the future. All alumni, parents, well-wishers are invited to attend and participate as we celebrate this milestone – 90 years of providing educational opportunities to our beloved country, Dominica.
