PANCHO, living on the big step on kennedy avenue going up to the ministry, he playes the steel pan with his heart, the bank account is a good idea, or a name of somebody we can give a contribution too, this is one man i strongly feel that the Government should give some assistance too he dedicated so much of his time with young men and women teaching them the steel pan FOR FREE. I wish him all the best. DOMINICANS PLEASE SUPPORT.
@Anonymous: Wilfred “Poncho” Jno Baptiste.
He is from the “old school.” A pioneer of steel pan music in Dominica. Ever heard of D Special Steel Orchestra?
He is brother to two other individuals who left their mark on our country, but who unfortunately are no longer with us; Allan Jno Baptiste(notable calypso writer/father of Nayee of WCK) and Julien Jno Baptiste(Chief Fire Officer).
Sorry to hear about his condition. My neighbor from Fields Lane where I was born. He would put me straight when he saw me going out a line. Those were the good old days when neighbors were also surrogate parents.
If there is a picture of this young man, people will be able to better relate and provide more assistance.Just a suggestion
The organizers should open a bank account for Pancho where persons can make deposits. Not everyone can go or want to go to the concert and I think Pancho dererves that support.
