EHS: Bouyon To Tha World

Bouyon To Tha World 2 - Album Cover“The idea is to bring about a much needed change in Bouyon music…to make music that can appeal to different audiences, bring about a level of seriousness and professionalism in the industry, and make music that can go far”

That’s the vision that DJ Flip of Flipside Ent, has for an island tour being planned for this summer dubbed ‘Bouypon To Tha World’ which, according to him will, “promote our music and other local artists.”

A release from Flipside Ent states that the events will be held at different venues around the island and will feature top local Djs, musical bands, younger DJ’s and artist from the areas where the events will be held.

“I always liked and tried to promote local artists, but now is the time since i have reached a level where I can do everything I wanted to do, so I will use this opportunity to allow various local artists to showcase their talent plus get paid,” he says, adding, “a lot of people here have negative things to say when comes to bouyon music, but they need to give the music a chance. I do my best to get artists, producers etc, to work together to bring about a change,, as we say ‘put country first’.. so this is what im doing, using my talent to make my country better musically…but everything takes time,” he concedes.

The Bouyon To Tha World Tour starts on June 28 in castle Bruce and moves to La Plaine the following day.

DJ Flip adds some more appetizer to the mix by promising that “later in the summer we will be having some artists from Guadeloupe who have songs on our albums and will have new songs for summer.”

some of you people are just too negative…. if you have nothing positive to say, say nothing at all.. Bouyon may not be your preferred type of music but it is for somebody else and you need to appreciate that. you might like country and western and others soca etc. but thats wat makes the world go round…we support soca and there is not so much of a big difference between soca and bouyon…. i bet if bouyon was from trinidad and soca was from Dominica you would not like soca…

Big up yourself DJ Flip… not soo much of a bouyon fan but keep doing what you do… haterz gonna hate thats what they do… bless up king..

Great idea, good luck with this undertaking. I am a Cadence girl myself but change is always good and there is space for Bouyon, and lots of Bouyon. It’s just that the lyrical content has to evolve, a mix of slow and fast tempo, songs marketable regionally and world wide like ‘What happen in de party stays in de party’, Kevin Little style etc….

It will work and Bouyon is here to stay and strong, nicest beat around, I love it all.
