“So FBD came as a result of me and what is going on in fashion all around the world. FBD is going to be a reflection of Dominica tapping into the fashion industry as well as exposing Dominica to the rest of the world and to give people from the rest of the world from the people of the fashion and beauty industry an idea of what Dominica has to offer.”

The event which will be done for the very first time is expected to be a yearly event.

It intends to be the ultimate platform for fashion in Dominica to create all opportunities for players in the industry using the nature and culture brand that Dominica enjoys as the backdrop.

All I can say is, that poor girl was ruined by Kam at the local queen show. Her talent, costume, swimwear evening wear..everything was a wizib, thanks to her. I agree with the person that said Mrs K should stick to talking. That’s her strength. Don’t ruin it for the person doing DNTM.

Good luck Mrs. Aaron. I guess you want to make up for the disastrous dress you allowed Ms. Blanchard to wear at the Miss Dominica Carnival Pageant. When I saw that dress I asked who was her chaperson and could not believe a great self proclaimed fashionista, fashion guru/expert consultant could endorse that dress to walk the stage of such a high level pageant. Best wishes to you and prove to us that you can do better.

Give it a break Kamala. No way can one associate Bouyon with fashion and no amount of bragging is going to change that.

Ok Miss self proclaimed fashion expert aka…Fashionister…””Executive Producer/Creator of Fashion Bouyon Dominica (FBD) Kamala Jno Baptiste Aaron told members of the media on Friday, that FBD came about because of her passion for and lifestyle in fashion.”” What did you do to Miss Blanchard for the queen show!??!! Clearly you like fashion but fashion doesn’t like you. You gave the poor girl a flowered evening gown and a yellow bathing suit that just doesn’t compliment her skin tone. You don’t seem to have any sense of fashon!! Your thing is talking…go do what you do best…talk talk and more talk!

Kamala but so long you into fashion now you want to come and do that.Ruth is a just come and see how far she has gotten with her initiative….so u should be thanking her for steming the idea and tearing a page from her book for you..On another note i believe the height criteria is to tall. Most of Dominicas beauties range from 5′ 4” (like myself) but in not interested in modeling But for those who are it should b @ least 5′ 6”.We have alot of talented young ladies here who are just waiting for the opportunity to showcase themselves. Please dont make it difficult for them……..My opinion!

Bouyon is one of the music genres of DA so this fashion should sync with the genre and be the dress of the genre else it will be a confusion to the fashion and the music. We are going to see confusion, or a synchronisation to create a synergised product to help propel both. Going to be interesting.

Great Job Kamala go for it. What you need now is a greater push even from the highest level. That will certainly promote Dominica internationally. We need actors, actresses and models from Dominica to be featured internationally. That would certainly boost the Tourist Industry here.

I expect the ministry of Tourism and Culture, and people like Anita Bully and Mrs M. Skerrit to through their supports behind you fully. Its not about politics and a talk show now. Its about us and Dominica.

You men and women of Dominica, its your turn yo shine now, Don’t throw this opportunity away.

Continuing the British/Slavery trend. We are so brainwashed and uneducated we don’t even realize that when we separate people simply because of their height and looks that it is an active form of discrimination. That is how our slave masters taught us and divided us. Even today firemen and policemen have to be a certain height to serve. When are we Dominicans going to learn?

Get that chip off your shoulder and educate yourself bro. Africa has both the shortest women (Pigmy av. 4.0 ft. and tallest (Sudanese tribes av. 6.0 ft.) So where is that discrimination bro. You never hear of that black model Naomi Campbell, one of our own? Don’t you think our sisters are as much interested, and entitled to fashion like their Caucasian counterparts?
