Local dancehall artiste Colton T has said he is busy making final preparations for his performance at the LIME’s Annual Creole in the Park and this year’s Sweet 16 Annual World Creole Music Festival.
He said his theme for Creole in the Park is “Wire Wasted” and fans are being encouraged to purchase their themed T-Shirts at Kairi FM.
Colton T says he is elated to be part of the two most important activities during the country’s independence season.
“It’s really good news for me as an artiste, Dominica and most of all, my fans. It shows that local artistes are slowly beginning to get the respect that they deserve,” he added.
The dancehall artist is also shooting his first music video on island, “Mr. Ice-cream Man,” shot by 365 MMP, with plans of having it released following the independence celebrations.
Colton T just returned to the island from performing in Houston in the United States. He described as a “huge“ success a performance at the Presidential Bash at Rose Garden Hall in Houston, Texas.
He said it was good representing his country “in every circle” while in Houston and also took the opportunity to increase his fan base.
“It was all about showcasing my talent to the outside world and letting the people know what Dominica has to offer,” he said.
