Next Saturday (July 23) at Carnival Village 10 beauties from around the Caribbean will compete in one half of the Miss Caribbean Culture Queen Pageant, which is being held in two separate shows.
In the first part of the show, to be held in St. Kitts, contestants will make three appearances – the Promotional Speech done in Ambassadorial Wear and the One Piece and Two Piece Swimsuit parade.
Eleven countries have confirmed their intention to compete; they are: Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia, Dominica, Nevis, Montserrat, Barbados, Jamaica, St. Kitts, Guyana, Anguilla and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The pageant will also feature a number of side show performances to add to the delight of the event. The Okolo Dance Theatre and music by the Fourplay Band will be part of the entertainment package.
The pressure is on once again, go out there and do your best and we Dominicans will be behind you 110%. Do what you have to do and let the haters continue to hate, and make your fans proud.
I think we have to look at the positive side of things and give the young lady a chance. It takes guts to do this. We never support the ladies when they do not get a crown and I think this is not humane. She just need your support Dominicans, Give it to her and she will perform to her best. It is competition one to win and one to lose. Do your best young lady your best can be good enough.

Well the pressure is back on again for you girl. You need to go out there and do your best and hope that your best is good enough to please the international judges. If you do not win, I am already feeling sorry for you on DNO. Dominicans are good people, but if you fail to shine in that competition, they will really get at you. So go out there and do you best as usual, to stop your haters from being on your back so much.
