
Dominicans and Africans will share the spotlight on July 5th at the Sea World Guest House in Citronier at an event dubbed the “Heartbeat show.”
The show is hosted by Dominica State College student, Cassandra Sonma Ukaobi.
Ukaobi, who is from Nigeria, explained that the event will feature music, fashion, dance and talent and will highlight Dominican and African artist performing together.
“Living in Dominica, I realized that there is a lot of talent here so I decided to do something that would bring those talents into manifestation. I decided to bring Africans into the show,” she told DNO.
The show will feature performances by Lyrique, Daviato from Africa, Marie Pascal from Cameroon, Dominica Can Dance dancers, African Dancers, models, Rah, Dj Flip, Temptatious, Fyah Bryte and other artists.
The creative designs of local Dominican fashion designers will also be displayed throughout the show.
“I have a passion for modeling, dancing, singing, I love to see people showcase what they have inside of them. People should expect an outstanding performance from the artists because they are getting ready for that show,” Ukaobi noted.
The 23-year-old Information Technology major revealed that tickets for the show can be purchased from Sea World Guest House, Dons and Divas, Diamond Girls at $20.
