The most dynamic performance of the night came from Joel Daniel and Brotherz Of Destiny. This Dominican band, which brought down the curtain on the show, managed to get individuals to leave their seats and join them in front of the stage for 25 minutes of passionate worship. “
Formed on March 1st 2002, originating from the village of Mahaut (a.k.a. “The village that never sleeps”) in the beautiful Commonwealth of Dominica the Brotherz of Destiny (B.O.D) band essentially evolved as a few young men ‘on fire for God’ who always had that special love for gospel music. They regularly attended various local concerts as a group and always wished that one day they would be the ones on stage proclaiming the gospel through their music.
They began writing their own songs and playing regularly at various local church youth meetings and concerts. B.O.D comprises of a group of young individuals from diverse backgrounds who have realized that God has called them because they are young and strong, propelling them to target many of their songs at encouraging the youth to serve God, and allowing them to realize that Christianity was not meant to be boring, and indeed it is not a boring thing.
B.O.D comprises a total of eight (8) members; five (5) male and three (3) female. Seven (7) of the members were present at the May 26th Barbados Gospel Fest Sunrise Concert and all agree that words cannot describe the awesomeness of it all and give all the credit to the Almighty God who is the Authour and the Finisher of their faith.
Look out for more from Brotherz of Destiny at this year’s 5th Annual Gospel Explosion (GE5) this Friday June 4th at the Newtown Savannah from 8pm.
