The seven young ladies vying for the title of Miss Dominica 2013 have made their participation in this year’s pageant official.
Jeanne Royer, Melinda Ulysses, Kelshia Breezie, Fatima Noel, Nickisha Philbert, Leslassa Shillingford and Diane Mathew all penned their signatures to their contracts on Monday at a contract signing between the contestants and the Dominica Festivals Committee (DFC).
Chairperson of the Queen Show Committee, Romoualda Hyacinth says all efforts are being made to ensure the ladies are ready for the February 8th event.
Meantime, sponsorship continues to be a matter of concern for the organizers.
However, Chairman of the Dominica Festival Committee (DFC), Colin Piper, says the DFC will fill in the gap and assist any contestants who are unable to attract the relevant sponsorship.
“We will do all we can to provide support. You can call me if you think that there are certain things preventing you from performing at your best. We continue to look for sponsors however we stand ready willing and able to sponsor each of you if sponsors don’t see the value and come forward,” he said.
