She called her video, released earlier this year, with an inspiring message for young people, “Enough” but as far as New York-based Dominica artist, Jenel Fabien is concerned, her contribution to the creation of positive music is anything but enough.
Now she has released a new video entitled Dreamer. Jenel says this video sends out a powerful message that everybody should have a dream. “No matter who you are and where you come from you have a right to your dream. Your dream can be as big as you want it to be because the only person who can make it happen is you,” she says.
“There will expectedly be roadblocks, limitations, naysayers and other things that might slow you down, but the key is to believe in yourself and trust in the power of God who made you different and special. It won’t happen overnight; you have to persevere, but there’s joy at the end of the road when you see yourself become the person of your dreams. Be positive; live your dream- be your dream!” the singer songwriter advises.
Jenel believes that we should always try to encourage others and to help people develop the positive within themselves.
Dreamer is one of several videos that she has produced over the past few months. She says the song was inspired by a poem of the same title written by her mother, years ago when she was much younger than Jenel at her present age. She says she has always loved the poem and felt that she could do something big with it.
Jenel works and pursues her Master’s full time but still finds time to do the tings she loves like music, writing and producing and encourages others to embrace their individuality and not neglect their passions.

Some of you people get me sick , there is a way to say something to somebody, you all are the ones upholding the criminals and drug dealers but when a young person does something positive you all take pleasure in bringing them down.
The sad thing about it is all you all can do is run your big mouths.

There is a lot that goes into creating a song , a video AND a POSITIVE MESSAGE . A lot more than putting music to paper. Give the girl get props on doing something a lot of us cannot . I personally like the song and the video and even if I did not I would give constructive critism rather than hide behind anonymousity to spread hate and be negative.

Cool track, I don’t know what the hating is about. This girl has a lot of potential and in a professional setting she could work wonders with her talent. Have you listened to some of the big Artist out there like Rihanna and Britney? They do not have Whitney Houston voices ,its mostly studio products and marketing. Educator , you and yours are the ones who need to get a good education . This girl is an Island scholar and has multiple degrees in the US and is educating others . Great lyrical content but honestly you should probably focus on writing for others than actually singing. This industry is tough and I don’t think your voice is marketable. I may get quite a few thumbs down for this but not everyone is meant to sing. Thumbs up to u for putting yourself out-there though, you’re a talented write but singing isn’t your thing .
