Fist and Foremost I am realy please to see the photos of the carnival which was posted on the Dominica news online site by the staff. Thank you once again for updating us who are away from these social events.

Secondly, I would like to thank the person who has updated me with the information in reference to the gentleman who is wearing green cap and shirt with the trolley. Unfortunately he is not the person I had in mind, however there is a saying over here in London that everyone has a double and it seems in this instance it is true. Once again the gentleman Mr. Moreau is enjoying himsel, and so should he.

    Thank you

Carnival has always been a unifier in Dominica. This is probably one of the few posts that only have positive comments on it. That is the true meaning of carnival to us not some commercial event that we push around to find a date suitable to others.

@ Dominican London based – The guy with the green cap pushing the trolley is a Moreau from Pottersville. Cannot remember his first name. I think it is Ronald Moreau related to the Moreau’s who have the garment shop in Pottersville. Hope that helps.

I enjoy looking at the phoos of the Mas at home. It reminds me of when I was a little girl growing up at home.

On an other note I also saw a gentleman who seems to have similar features as a relationof ours. The gentleman is the one holding a trolley outside some home or house. He has a green cap onhis head and also a green shirt on. Can someone please tell me who he is. If you know the name please state.

Please everyone at home families friends and all nations and visitors please enjoy the carnival and stay away from adversity.

Hey i think the true meaning of lapo kabwit is quickly being taken over by lapo plastic. Isn’t lapo kabwit the skin of the goat? From the so called big names such as sakis, sugar fire and others they all use lapo plastic and not lapo kabwit. I really think the organising commitees should look into these and encourage de real lapo kabwit or cow skin. In de kalinago territory we do use de original lapo kabwit and i think all other bands should de de same if we are to maintain this name. Bring back de real mass if we say we got de real mass.

Olde Mas, that’s where our carnival is going to make waves. We have mastered the sensay; some more participation and color and a few innovative ideas and we will be OK.
