I must say congrats to the organizers for this years opening parade, this was much better than last year’s. The business places really came out and tried their best however i wish there could be much more colour since that’s what carnival is all about (colour, class and of course the coustumes). I think it was a very good effort. To those who critisise the members or ppl of the business places who came out to be part of the parade instead of critisising them contribute something that would make it more spectacular. Once again good effot.

mr bully did a fine job,he has seen many talented dominicans do their thing at carnival.i remember when he was in his parents verandah watching the carnival BOSS. so he has some experience.carnival is nothing but an expression of LIMINALITY AND FUNTIONAL REDUNDACY. get educated dominicans its about time. carnival is nothing about money.i won every jour ouvert competition in DA and still waiting for my prize,but that did not deter me, i was there every year.alwyn you did a damn good job and u have to above the rest to get praises from me.

the overall parade was a good effort. The business houses did as best they can.
The girls in the Astaphans float are Astaphans staff, not models, real people.
Why is it that those of you who do not contribute are always so critical. With the state of the economy, I say hats off to Jollys, Lime, Astaphans, Best Buy, Scotia Bank, NBD, etc etc who participated.
Instead of being proud of the girls/women for their contribution and the businesses, you folks are being so harshly critical. Do you know that’s exactly why some do not participate anymore, because no matter how hard they try, its blows. Come 15th and 16th Feb there will be many a young woman exposed to the max, will you be critical then…….?
I shop at Astaphans often and know the young ladies as staff………..to the staff I say, ignore the ignorant.

TO HMMMM(1) the psychic ……….. You are ridiculous and make no sense. Have u seen the dressing at carnival, the poom poom shorts? the pieces of cloth that is called clothes? Plz get real What the JOLLY’S and the ASTAPHANS girls had were nothing. The JOLLY’S were even better than the ASTAPHANS I saw nothing wrong with their dressing. They protrayed monster well. Yes lime could have dressed their girls better. But bear in mind if you are going to say a thing like they are killing carnival do not be hypocrite take a look around there were WORST dressed ppl, dont even talk about Jouvert morning.

All of these women were dressed good keeping in mind that we celebrating CARNIVAL. During Carnival less is more and sexy. We need to realise that it is time to free up and fete and put all troubles and stress behind us and just party. The sexy ladies in particular (Klubird, Astaphans, Monster & LIME models) made the parade very interesting Trust Me!!!

I love the “Friendship Crew,” they represent the preschoolers quite well. Couldn’t stop laughing at their uniforms.
I must say the parade was a success i especially liked the pre schoolers
JR lets give Jack his Jacket. Hats off the Road Parade Committee, Mr. Bully is the Chairman of Carnival. The parade was organised by the Road Parade Committee mandated to organise the event. We must learn to give the Road Parade Committee their flowers – they organised the parade.
Hats off to the Chairman and members of the Road Parade Committee, Queen Show Committee, Val Cuffy and the DFC for a job well done.

Honestly ASTAPHANS , JOLLY’S AND LIME really need to come better than that. Don’t kill carnival slowly. Please learn from the KLUBIRDS. They look so classy and elegant.

Hearts up especially to Mr Alwin Bully. I must say that this year’s opening was the best Dominica had in a long time. The parade was well organised, alot of colours, many bands. It was really great. I am happy I could witness this year’s opening. GUYS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORKS.
