Persons wishing to partake in the three nights of pulsating rhythms in the Nature Isle at the World Creole Music Festival (WCMF) have another chance to purchase their season tickets at a special price as the special continues on Friday.
Speaking on radio, Friday morning, Marketing Executive for the World Creole Music Festival, Leroy ‘Wadix’ Charles, said the ticket special will begin from 2:00 pm at Digicel center on Great Marlborough street.
“This afternoon from 2-4 pm in front of the Digi-center, we are giving patrons another opportunity to take advantage of the EC $250 season ticket special … it’s an opportunity that quite a bit of patrons have been asking for and we have been bombarded with several requests and we are giving the patrons another opportunity again this afternoon from 2-4 outside the Digi-center,” he said.
During that time, entertainment will be provided by Nayee and Kross Vibes.
Then from 6:00 pm the Friday Dwivay, third edition, will give patrons another opportunity to take full advantage of the $250 ticket special.
Live entertainment will be provided by the Fanatic Fand, Kross Vibes, Machine creole and Tradebelle and entrance will be free of charge.
“So right after work, fans and friends and lovers of creole music can come down to the Krazy Kokonuts and have a fantastic evening. It goes from 6 until midnight. It’s absolutely free,” he stated.
Charles also mentioned that on Saturday, the WCMF ticket train will be moving along the west coast route to Portsmouth so citizens can look forward to their opportunity to get the special rate.
“Then tomorrow, patrons from the west coast and the north, you could look out for the ticket train coming in your direction departing Roseau from 1:00 pm and we head across to the west coast and climax at memory lane in Portsmouth from 5:00 -11:00 pm,” “Once again giving an opportunity to the west coast patrons to take advantage of the season ticket special”.
He told WCMF fans that the opportunity will not last forever.
Meantime Charles announced that WCMF Sunday is expected to feature Swinging stars along with various calypsonians, Uprising Stars, Kassav and Carimi. A tribute will be paid to Dominica for 35 years of independence through Calypso.
“Some of the crown and road match sounds will be on showcase in that special feature and this promises to be a classical nostalgic 60 minutes as Daddy Chess, Hunter, Tasha P, the record breaking King Dice and Daryl Bob will pay tribute in sound to Dominica and once again will be going back from independence to now,” he said. “So this promises to be a real magical and royal moment and backed up by 54 year old swinging stars. This is one of the highlights of this year calypso component so we want to urge patrons to get themselves ready and take advantage of the season’s ticket special”.
Berrrrrrrrrrrrrr that is because all you cannot go.
All work and no play make Jacka dull man.
You have to have fun to even though is church you attending it is keeping your mind going.
Enjoy your culture stop moaning
STRESS KILLS
What a Great Deal spend 25% of your monthly income to PARTY! Forget feeding your family and buying school shoes. This is getting worse and worse every year. The ticket prices go up and the unemployment goes up and the salaries go down. WTH.
Do the WMCF has a web site where this promotion, can be purchase by overseas patrons, this is the age of the internet, instead of sending our monies down to purchase tickets.
You Guys are so ridiculous.
From the time the tickets sales began in September month end, it came out at the season’s special of $250.00.
it is so unfair to try to imply that ticket was sold for $325.00 at first and then reduced.
Every year there is that special to patrons.
I am close to a board member who inform me that there unlimited amount of tickets, so once again to try to say tickets are not selling is rubbish. I heard they have surpassed last year at the same time by far.
DNO fanatic stop spreading fact less information.
I think that’s brilliant that this special is on.
I myself have bought over 22 tickets for friends returning home.
Miguel, you are mistaken.
The original prices for his year’s festival were:
– Single Night pass: E.C.120
– pass for all three nights: E.C.325
This was posted on the organisation’s own webside: http://www.wcmfdominica.com
The reduced price of E.C.$ 250 for all three nights is a PROMOTIONAL price, applicable from 27 Sept. (see DNO 18 Sept, 2013).
The Chinese, Venezuelans and the Government must go around giving handouts including wcmf tickets…..the stadium must full up and dfc will be smiling all the way to the bank
Pedro you can even purchase your tickets at the gate, several friends of mines have sent me money from overseas to purchase their tickets for them and other ppl can do the same or pay the 325.00 at the gate. you all always quick to make a negative comment. keep it up, festival committee.
Pedro don’t hate, start to appreciate
Maybe we should take the World out of World Creole Music Festival. 16 years later even regular patrons from overseas or persons who do not have the time or energy, or ability to get to the local vending point do not have the ability in this fabulous internet age to buy “regular” seasons tickets by phone or computer, are not considered…not even asking for the special yet online. Just the ability to conduct business as it should this century. It really is a no-brainer. The commission needs to get its act together about marketing, sales and customer service. Stop doing, same old, same old!!
Just came from outside Digicel. That was great! On to Friday Dwivey! Nayee last week as hot! Fanatic this week?! I will be there!
who is doing Creole festival sound this year?
Good initiative on the part of the WCMF committee
Boy, you see that. Is not today the price was already reduced to $250 and even then they still have not swold all their tickets. That is not good news for the festival. I am still sore for paying the full price in the first place. I am now waiting for God to tell mr. Skerrit to cut the price even further. Anyway I hope the music will be good even if the stadium is not full.
Really? I thought it was because of slow sales!!!
